Not sure if there was a bad batch from Kingston or if these have been sitting in a warehouse for too long. All the recent flash drives I've bought of this same model ever since the covid shortages have turned out to be bad after a couple of usages. The fact that some of them were failing disk utility first aid checks brand new out of the box was worrysome. The flashdrives would then get corrupted and will not read/write anymore. I got tired of it and reached out to Kingston for warranty support, they sent me a new model version which has none of these issues. If you are going to use these flashdrives on macs, don't waste your time.

I bought 4 of this brand of flash drives. I have Kingston RAM and SSD and a Seagate HDD. I used 3 of them on the HDD creating a 3D firewall. I used 256GB 3.2Gen1 and 3.1 32GB and 3.0 32GB on the HDD. The finale was 512GB on my SSD. I found it was less expensive than encrypting a 6TB Harddrive.
