Great bit of kit.

Works well and fits more pole sizes

Bought this to help put up our brand new awning as it was recommended by Isabella to tension the poles correctly. Unfortunately it broke almost straight away. Fortunately there was the exact same tool included in the awning package when it arrived so we were able to use that and it did help to get the awning secure. Fortunately we received a refund straight away when we returned the broken one. The first item could have been faulty but make sure you use it correctly (as per instructions) and it should do the job fine.

Amazing little tool iv had others before that were good but this is so easy and convenient

The instructions are very basic and don't let the user know how much tension is required to achieve the 'correct' tension. It would be extremely easy to overtension and inadvertently tear the fabric of a tent or awning. It is very well-made but fiddly and awkward to use. I remember using a similar, cheap version over 50 years ago that worked far better and was sprung to avoid damage through over tightening. I bought it on the advice of Isabella videos to put up our brand new Isabella Winter awning. When using it on the first pole, the restraining strap on the awning was torn away - and that was with very little tension being applied. I have abandoned it in favour of just hand tightening to prevent any further damage to our awning. Disappointed.

It fell apart on its second pole... I have been using tensioners for years and never had a problem.. the cap came off rendering it useless. Could you please send me a new one please.. I will send this one back if needed
