I wanted a green radio for my newly decorated kitchen with green theme. This little radio popped up. Reviews looked good, so decided to buy. Well, the sound that comes out of it is brilliant. I really was aware of this when I had accidentally set an alarm for 3am, it woke half the neighbourhood up, lol!! It is usb charged and since one charge, I have been using it for hours not needing to recharge it yet. Be aware it is tiny, fits in one hand, but that was exactly what I wanted. Lovely and would recommend.

The English proofreader probably had a day off, or my ‘FM-AM Radio/Digial Recorder’ would not have passed muster! No doubt knocked-up in some unnamed Chinese sweatshop, mine has BENSS printed above the speaker, which I like to think means British Export, No Serious Sufferings.Nevertheless, as with most other reviewers here, am impressed with this dinky portable radio. Audio (speaker size/sensitivity/impedance: 40mm/80db/4ohm) is respectable – max volume will not wake up the neighbours, but will certainly annoy the rest of your household! Tuning for radio stations is via the large manual knob on the side and the device can be Bluetoothed-to for audio playback. NB – THIS IS NOT A DAB/DAB+ RADIO. Compact & bijoux, my dark(-ish) green version looks quasi-military, which is pretty ‘kewl’ and earns it a well-deserved FOUR STARS, with another half-star if it were possible. This because of two slight irks.#1: no volume TSR: switch on and volume is at 20, which is quite loud. No matter what level you have the radio when switched off, eg. 16, 9, 5, etc., when switching on again … 20. It annoys.#2: the microSD function is only useful for recording (128kbps MP3, max file duration: 60 minutes). Store your own music or audiobook library on the card? Forget it – no search function to locate folders or files. [maximum capacity: microSDHC 32GB]OVERALL RATING: PRETTY DARN GOOD!!!

Nice looking radio, tuning dial is good feature, very decent FM, no problem with Bluetooth either, but AM is all crackle can hardly get any stations. Also mp3 player can only record at 128 kbps which isn't even stereo plus there is limitation on how long you can record a file for (approx 1 hr). As a result I returned mine.

In my first review I mentioned that my initial purchased developed a fault very quickly, in that it would not record for longer than a few seconds. This is a deal-breaker for me given that I love recording radio - it was my main reason for choosing it. In the hope that the set was a one-off - I have since gone ahead and ordered another which I recieved. As with the first set, a little while after purchased, the radio stopped recording, so, I can fairly accurately predict that this is going to be a fault for you too, so GOOD LUCK if it's not. However, altough the set should be good sound at lower frequencies, it is not - there are better BUT, one plus feature, is that the radio is stereo but not mentioned in the description, so although there is just one main speaker, you can plug in a mini-jack or headphone and hear stereo. The radio is robust and attractive but, as far as my experience goes, you will be buying it as a radio - not a recording radio as this may fail. Switching on can be a fiddle, ok when you get used to it, volume starts high, I wish it were low. It's appearance is excellent.

Excellent Product . Very easy to use
