Moore and Wright 110 Series MW110-07 Precision Miniature Pocket Vernier Caliper 0-70mm

I opted for this rather than a standard 8” digital caliper for a couple of reasons. First, I seldom ever (if ever) need to measure anything more than 7cms in length. Secondly, I really don’t like the cheap digital callipers and wanted something offering mechanical precision that didn’t need batteries. And I was not disappointed. This is a really beautifully machined little calliper that oozes quality. I have checked it accuracy and it is spot on. But what’s more it is very compact and fits easily in to any pocket, even a shirt pocket, so is very portable. If you are thinking of buying this then I would encourage you not to think too much and just buy it. It is a lovely little precision instrument. Five stars for quality and functionality.

I bought this after realising that its rare that I used a vernier to measure many things bigger than 50mm. This is perfect for the vast majority of things and fits nicely in your pocket in the little holster it comes with.

Like others, I found it to be a superbly made instrument. Made in China maybe but somewhat unfair to call it a knockoff.

Affordably priced, it is ideal for my work on a mini milling machine. No digital module to foul up in tight spaces.

Lovely precision measuring instrument bought to replace a cheap generic digital caliper after its battery had flatlined (yet again). The quality of the Moore & Wright is streets ahead of the cheaper device, you certainly get what you pay for (not that ~ £20 is excessive for such a quality tool).The scales are clearly marked and operation is smooth. The locking screw works fine.It also comes with a certificate of conformity stating the device has been tested and meets the relevant national standard.Also ... No batteries required :-)Perfect 5 stars.

This is not a genuine Moore & Wright vernier caliper, it's simply a rebranded Chinese clone. It can be bought for less than half the price elsewhere. The quality of the tool itself is also substandard; either buy a genuine quality tool like a Mitutoyo, or simply buy a cheap Chinese knock off, which is what is being sold here.
