Aspiring prepper must have
With the constant fear mongering warnings of a looming volcanic eruption, I’ve become obsessed with making sure I’m prepped in case of natural disaster.I have an at-home bunker-down emergency kit.I have a car-broke-down-but-we-still-have-shelter emergency kit. And now I have a bug out “everything’s gone to hell and we’re gonna have to hoof it” bag. This Mylar tent and “bivy” sleeping bag kit is in the last one.I haven’t tried it. I haven’t opened it up past examining the contents. I will say that for my peace of mind in an Alaskan winter, I do not mind knowing I have a dry set of clothes, a Mylar poncho (purchased separately), a Mylar sleeping bag, and Mylar tent to protect me even if just barely. It might not be enough but it’s better than sleeping on the wet snow, that’s for damn sure.This was the best deal and cheaper than buying the sleeping bag (“bivy”) and tent separately. It comes in a cute tiny dense little pack so it doesn’t get ripped or damaged and is small and light enough to toss in the bag. I think it’s perfect for emergencies, but this is only in theory. Luckily, haven’t had a reason to test it out.

Seems legit
To be fair, I haven’t used this tent yet. It’s well packaged and appears to be thicker than most one time use survival tents and bags. It’s in my survival kit. Plan to add another.

Perfect size for emergency car kit
I haven't had to use the tent or bag, and hopefully never will. Quality looks good. Perfect size to keep in my emergency car kit. Comes in a zip pouch that is substantial so if it's put into another bag, it will be protected. Good peace of mind that if something bad happens I have this in the car.
