GREAT…if you don’t mind the long recharge time…Zzzzzz
The Marbero M88 is a compact power bank that’s perfect for life on the go (e.g. travel, backpacking, exploring, etc.). Packing a capacity that exceeds 20,000 mAh, it can easily power-up essential devices like cell phones, laptops, and portable lighting (e.g. rechargeable lanterns). Yet this sleek power bank looks distinct compared to most in the >20,000 mAh capacity range. Indeed, unlike its more boxy peers, the M88 boasts a thin profile that’s just under 1.2 inches in depth. Combine that with a small footprint and light weight, and the fact is, you won’t find a power bank that travels better than the M88. And if that’s not enough to entice you, there’s even an AC outlet for wired electronics that lack charging ports. In my opinion, the Marbero M88 is a winner, with just a few blemishes that might be cause for concern.ADVANTAGES* One of the thinnest power banks that’s available with 1) a capacity >20,000 mAh and 2) an AC outlet. The depth dimension is only 1.2 inches…that’s thin!* Small footprint @ 6.8 (L) x 5.9 (W) inches.* Light weight @ 1 lb 13 oz.* Low price @ $2.50 / 1,000 mAh (with the 40% coupon). The price is as low as any competitor that has SIMILAR CAPACITY AND FEATURES. Beware reviews that compare this “apple” to other “oranges”.* Good selection of charging ports. NOTE: The QC 3.0 ports (both A- and C-types) will only “FAST” charge devices that support the QC 3.0 protocol. The same is true for the charging wire. This is to be expected, so don’t think the ports are defective if you are using a non-compatible device (or wire) and it won’t FAST charge. For example, devices like the iPhone (that use the PD protocol instead) will NOT FAST CHARGE. To be clear, the QC 3.0 ports will “work” with an iPhone or other non-compatibles, it just WON’T FAST CHARGE. There’s been way too much confusion around this issue, so that’s why I’m belaboring the point. If you’re not sure if your device is compatible with QC 3.0, here’s a link to a comprehensive list:https://www.qualcomm.com/content/dam/qcomm-martech/dm-assets/documents/Accessory_List_QCOM_Quick_Charge.pdfIf your device is not compatible, you may still experience slightly better charging speed via the QC 3.0 ports. For example, with my iPhone SE (2020) I was getting 5V/1.5A/7.6W via QC 3.0 port and only 5V/0.95/4.8W via one of the regular USB-A ports (USB 1). It’s not much, possibly even unnoticeable. But I wanted to mention just the same.* Solar panel friendly.* FAA compliant for carry-on baggage.* Trickle charge mode for smaller devices with low power draw demands. Although I haven’t confirmed the function of this advertised mode.* Helpful Instruction Manual.LIMITATIONS* Options for re-charging the power bank on the grid are both limited and SLOW. Of course, the wimpy 15V/1A charging adapter doesn’t help. Not sure if using a charger with more amps would help, or if the device is simply wired to only draw 1A. Regardless, this “feature” could prove to be a headache if expectations are not kept in check. Just plan on recharging overnight.* The charge status indicator uses bars instead of actual percentage. Can I assume 1 bar = 25%? Even if it does, I’m still in the dark because 1 bar could indicate 25% remaining, or 1% remaining. Especially if I didn’t witness the drop from 2 bars to 1 bar, and use my uniquely humanesque ability to track (relative) time.* Some may flag the modified sine wave characteristic of the AC output to be a limitation. I will list here for those folks. However, I personally don’t think it’s a limitation because the power bank wasn’t designed to run motor-driven appliance, like a refrigerator. The capacity is simply too low. It’s like trying to use a child’s plastic hammer to drive a steel nail into wood. Wrong tool! But don’t blame the tool, blame the person that would even try.Bottom line, you may find a power bank with faster recharge times at a competitive price, but you won’t find one (with similar specs) that’s THINNER or LIGHTER. For me, being thin, light and packing small is critical. And as long as it delivers the spec power of 24,000 mAh, I’ll take the Marbero M88 over the competition any day of the week. However, I just hope I don’t find myself curled-up next to an outlet at the airport for 8h!NOTE: The first power bank I received had a defective AC outlet; e.g. when I plugged in a device the AC indicator light flashed green for a second, but then immediately extinguished. Even with no device plugged in, the AC indicator light flashed ON, then instantly OFF. I was going to write a negative review then and there, just like another reviewer did who experienced the exact same symptom (that reviewer even posted a video, as I was going to do). But I decided instead to return the defective unit and let the replacement guide my review. And here I am. The point I’m trying to make is that this line of power banks appears to have an inventory of at least two units that have shorts in the AC outlet circuitry. And possibly more, so be advised. The good news is that I requested a replacement from Amazon that arrived in two days. And the replacement has (so far) performed flawlessly. I would not hesitate ordering this item again, I have that kind of confidence in the product.

Love this
Battery life is great for short term. Charges overnight well, love how portable it is for size. It function well while carrying. If you need something for a couple of hours for large charging items this is perfect for the price

I have three in use as of January 2024.
Been using the M88 since April 2024.It replaced the Jackery Explorer 160 for the smaller stuff. In fact in a carry case I can fit 3x M88's to one Explorer 160. That's 266.4watts vs. 167watts.I only will charge the smaller stuff I generally carry with this. 88.8 watts per unit isn't much. So smartphones, headsets, pocketable stuff. A laptop will not last with this. Unless you have more of this. I average roughly 5 hours of use till the M88 is depleted. Depends on what it's charging. I'd expect 40 minutes for a laptop doing 50-70watts. Since I would rather charge the smaller stuff having three of these That's roughly 9-15hours of run time. 3-5 hours per unit. The form factor is great. I like anything flat less than two inches. Can fit in a small bag. No bulgy handle or anything, main comparison the Jackery Explorer 160. The only caveats is the charge time. 8 hours per unit while on the wall. I can do solar so if it's a clear day with enough sun. I can leave there during the morning to be ready for use at night. Realistically I only use one unit per day, 5 hours generally. To compensate, I have multiple units, and use them in rotation. To tell apart, I color code. Also I don't use the USB ports on the unit. I find them unreliable in a sense I want Superfast charging. I only ever use the 3.5mm for input charging, and the AC port. I do recommend the Trond Wall adapter that has 3x AC ports, 2x USB-C, and 2x USB-A. Then the additional proprietary OEM fast chargers for the devices. I recommend the M88 for its flat compact design, AC port, don't recommend the USB ports. Don't like the slow input charging, so I compensate by having more if they dont 100% by the time I need to get out. I will eventually have four, no more. Great for the smaller handheld devices, anything that requires more wattage like a laptop look elsewhere. I like the Jackery Explorer 160, Egretech Plume 300, and Baseus Iota 420 for the bigger stuff.Great value for the money strictly for the smaller stuff that doesn't hog too much power.

Life saver
I travel alot for work and we are on the road alot. It has gotten me through the rural areas and allowed me me to plug in my laptop and phone at the same time to get me through the eight hours of driving from town to town.

Not a huge capacity
I don’t even get a full charge out of this for my Lenovo computer, it’s only an I3 processor. I would expect this to charge it at least twice not just 70 percent

Meets TSA regulations
It had a regular plug for my application. It charges up the device with ease and rather quickly which is great. Lite weight and extremely portable.

Won't charge Macbook pro
The media could not be loaded. I was excited when I purchased this device. I had recently gone to a competition with my students and I saw that they were using a power bank to charge four laptops, including mine. I knew I had to have one, so I ordered this product on Amazon, to charge my laptop on the go. Unfortunately it did not meet up to expectations. I will try and return it.

First of its kind…
I have yet to see any smaller portable power stations with a 110 plug that I can use for my kids Chromebook. Keep in mind the size of this power station with expectations of getting a long charge. The customer support for this company is great..very responsive and they taught me a thing or two about the power and watt conversion. This is an awesome little pack…I do however need a larger capacity and longer charge so will have to go the next size up.
