I sound great with this box.
I use this product when recording my songs. My studio is located in a tiled room. It is a loud room. My recent recording was done using this product and I’ve never sounded so good! Give it a try!

Studio Quality Vocal Filter
After successfully using an isolation shield a couple years for recording vocals in my home I was curious if this enclosed filter would offer improved sound. Have made a few recordings with the Isobox & I’m quite impressed with the improvement in vocal sound focus and reduction in unwanted room sounds. Isobox vocals are dry, perfect for adding digital processing such as EQ & reverb, if being placed in a mix. A nice online demonstration of this box shows Wendy DeWitt singing a happy song, comparing the Isobox to an isolation shield. The box & condenser mic is a bit heavy and needs a sturdy stand. I got the Reflection Filter Tripod Mic Stand from Auray. This is an inexpensive, but quite useful microphone filter for home studio use. Would certainly recommend to those who can’t afford actual studio time or costly room sound treatment.

Isolated Box
Not Bad for a isobox....I like the design, and ease of assembly ...It's never going to replace a well sound proofed Booth, But it gets the job done in a space untreated....With a couple of things in my mixing belt....it sounds just as good as it I had a well treated room!...

Vocals sound disgusting.
Vocals sounded thin, muffled, cancelled out ZERO room noise. Amazon’s return policy is the only reason I ain’t livid. Don’t waste your money.

Not a perfect solution for an untreated space, but very good
This isolation box is very good for what it is. It is well built and feels like it will hold up well for a long time. I narrate audiobooks on the side and just moved into a new space that has a lot more reverb than my previous space, so I was looking for something new to add to my booth to help cut down the bit of reverb I was getting in my recordings. This did the trick. Inside of my homemade booth I now have a near perfectly dry sound.I spent a good chunk of time this afternoon playing with this both inside of the booth and outside of the booth and here are my thoughts:-Works very well in an untreated room to "dry out" the sound, but is not perfect.-Enhances the effectiveness of any sound treatment you have already done to your space.-Solid construction with well thought out mic cable holes and mounting solutions.-Fits just about any microphone except long shotguns. The longest you can reasonably use is the size of an AudioTechnica AT875R or shorter.-Will fit any condenser or standard dynamic microphone, even handhelds like SM58's and also SM57's.-Looks cool.Do not buy if you think this is a magic bullet for studio grade sound. This does NOT "sound proof" at all. If you can hear ambient noises with your ears, your microphone will still pick it up in this enclosure. Cars driving by, planes overhead, that annoying kid who chopped the exhaust off his car six blocks away, birds outside your window, etc. will still be heard in your recordings. This isolation box is just to cut down on reverb and echo picked up by the microphone. For anyone who isn't doing high quality recording (streaming, YouTube voice over, things like that) this box will be a big improvement over a completely untreated space and will probably be all you need. For those looking to do high quality recording (narration, voice over, commercials, radio, podcasting, etc.), this box should be considered either a starting point OR the finishing touch to a set up, but is not a stand-alone solution. In the untreated room I was testing in, the microphone was still picking up the reverb and echos bouncing off of the wall behind me. With it in my booth with heavy moving blankets all around me, I had a near perfectly dry sound. Sound treatment of your space is king.No matter what anyone tells you or advertises, there is no single perfect product for vocal work, and none of them are "sound proof." Acoustic foam stops reverberations and echos from bouncing off of it, but does not stop the transmission of sound directly through it. You need to spend a lot more than this box costs to achieve "sound proof." Like, 100x more.Overall, this is a fantastic little box that got me that little bit of extra reverb and echo dampening that I needed in my booth. It is a great starting point for anyone looking to get into the field of vocal work (much better than putting your mic in your closet), but is by no means a comprehensive solution to an untreated space. You will still get some reverb from your room in your recordings when using this by itself. It is greatly reduced, but still there.
