ProHealth Vitamin D3 Extreme (50,000 IU, 24 Capsules) Helps Boost and Support Healthy Bones and The Immune System | Gluten Free | Soy Free

My vitamin D levels were extremely low, so I purchased these to bring it back up. At the same time I had a horrible cold and cough. I took three of the D3 to start with, then I took one every three days as directed by my physician for a month. That brough my levels back up within that month and also helped get rid of my cold (took vitamin C as well for that). Now I take one pill every 5 days, again as directed by my physician. I had a bad winter with sickness, so every time I felt a cold/virus coming on, I took three with 4,000 units of Vitamin C for a couple of days, and that did stop the virus in its track. This is an excellent product. I highly recommend it. I followed my physician's directions EXACTLY (she is a Dr. Of functional medicine) as I know that she knows what she is doing. I now have other people in my family taking this after they spoke to their nutritionists about it. It's truly a great product that helped me build my immune system back up after some severe health issues. I am grateful for it.

OK, so if you are Vitamin D deficient (please get tested first before using this product) this will product will help remedy this almost immediately.For years I thought I had a thyroid problem. I have been under the care of an endocrinologist for over 4 years. I was placed on synthroid and cytomel at really high doses and yet even with an amazing amount of exercise every week (4 hours a day 3 or 4 days a week) and eating incredibly healthy everyday (1600 calories non gluten vegetarian with some occasional fish) and my weight was out skyrocketing of control, I was tired all the time, I looked like crap.I took 1 pill every Sunday for 8 weeks with the appropriate calcium, magnesium and zinc (D should not be taken without these). I lost over 60 pounds and I even cut back on exercise, my skin is much better, I feel rested after 5 hours of sleep, I drink only 1 cup of coffee a day now otherwise I would be too hyper.This little pill has changed my life. I now take the 5,000 i.u. by ProHealth 5 days a week. But if you are severely deficient, this pill will get you back on track.The quality of this product is evident to me and I am grateful ProHealth as a company exists.If you are diagnosed with any thyroid or adrenal problem make sure your doctor tests your vitamin d levels before taking any medication as vitamin d deficiency can be the REAL cause.

I need to take this onve every other week. Much cheaper than by script. I've been taking this brand for at least 7 years. Blood work done every 4 months and vit D levels stay fine. Without it my levels go so low it's dangerous for heart. Used to take every week for 2 years till levels stayed normal with 1 every other week. Doctor is shocked can get this strength without script. I would strongly suggest not taking this without your doctor monitoring your levels. Too much is not a good thing either.

I had my first vitamin D test done last spring and it was extremely low. I had every miserable symptom too and it was likely that I had been suffering for years. My doctor prescribed me Vitamin D2 50,000 IU but in doing my research I read that Vitamin D3 was the proper form to take. This lead me to Vitamin D3 extreme, based on some online reviews and recommendations. Pretty soon, my back pain disappeared. Skin improved, I became energetic and happy. And 10 lbs whittled their way off of my body, especially around my waist--I have since learned that Vitamin D3 lowers cortisol and belly fat. Menstrual pain disappeared. My thyroid levels normalized without any thyroid meds. In 3 months when I got retested I had gone from having nearly nonexistent vitamin D levels to a bit too high! But I do try to maintain it at a high level because that's where I get the best physical benefits. I tell everyone I know to get this stuff. One friend had Alopecia Areata and this was the one thing that made her hair grow back. Other hypothyroid friends have reported increased energy and weight loss that their thyroid medicines just didn't do. One friend has lost 20lbs so far. I am so lazy I have never written a review before, but this deserves it. Who knew that an inexpensive vitamin could work such wonders? Also, it always seems to arrive fast. I even whispered to a guy shopping at the Vitamin Shoppe for Vitamin D to not bother with their brands and get on amazon and get this.

I get a little tiny bump of energy when I take these with vitamin C and K2. I have ME/CFS. It's not a lot of energy but there aren't too many things that give me any energy these days so I keep things like this handy when I'm at my worst.A rheumatologist also diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia but I'm not fully certain of that diagnosis as I know people who have it and suffer a lot more pain than I do. However, when he made that diagnosis my vitamin D levels were very low and my whole body was achy all the time.This helped a lot with the pain. For me it was about a 60% improvement but again I'm not certain I have Fibro so it may not work as well for someone who actually does.I do however, have to take it with C and K2 or I get leg cramps.I've also found that brand does matter. This one works for me. If I take D otherwise, it has to be from fish oil in order for me to get the same help from it.
