I am a political junkie - I admit it.To get The inside look into The Perfect Call (the most oxymoronic naming of anything, ever- byThe Perfect Moron itself) and everything that led up to it...presented naturally and urgently by Lev Parnas', a fascinating character in his own right, was just too good to pass up.Mr Parnas' voice, throughout the book, is definitely his own. His Brooklyn Jewish streetwise voice, with telltale hints of Eastern European cadence- words that are just a touch different than we usually get to hear, make it so much better than if they'd let an editor 'polish it up' is so authentic -it's just like hearing him read it; which I'm sure he does on Audible(which will be my next listen)This is not just about me enjoying a good read, however. To be on the inside, seeing the precise procession of one of the most horrifying crimes of our or any time, was amazing!How Giuliani went from being perceived as America's Mayor to the slimy thing that he's become-as well as seeing the golden curtain pulled aside, getting a revealing view of those horrific 4 years, from the eyes of a true believer- which Lev Parnas was (until his betrayal)the whole thing is fascinating, warm and so well told. Do yourself a favor-Enjoy this fast paced true political tale.

Excellent, detailed, comprehensive book that details unbelievable information. Emotional and realistic statements about the government. You have to keep reminding yourself that this is NON FICTION!!

Very good reading material

Another close ally gets thrown under the bus. Bigger fish let off or excused. Many idolizing rich or wanna be rich lying followers when caught. Deep corruption. TV interviews and documentary are must see for history. Sadly, a third of the voters stayed home. We were warned by the author and others. Read history.

I try to read things from the "in crowd", otherwise we only read the spin. I don't care what side of the aisle you are on, reading someone's truth when they were in the action zone, is a good balance to the " news" that's been spun and presented.

My husband got this book and he hasn't been able to set it down. He's constantly reading passages out loud to me, which is not something he normally does. It's great to see him so into this book.Lev's history with Giuliani, organized crime, the Trump family, and so on is fascinating. I had no idea his ties to them went back so far.Personally, I'm thrilled as the granddaughter of Ukrainian Jews that Lev Parnas saw the light and came over to the good side. I'm always mortified by Jews behaving badly, especially when our families come from the same Ukrainian city. Silly I know, but historically Jews have been collectively punished for the actions of some or even for lies. We're a tiny community. .02% percent of the world's population, 14-15 million people worldwide after all.The editing could have been better, but the content is so important.
