DO NOT PURCHASE
Do not buy from FMS... STAY AWAY from this company. Plane arrived with broken right aileron. Sent full video of problem to their "customer service email" no response. You get what you pay for. A cheap non working piece of foam. I also went out and bought extra parts. I will never need them as plane has not worked since delivery!!! Next stop is the Vermont Attorney Office. The one star rating is because you have to give a rating to leave a review. They get zero stars how about negative stars.

Faulty rudder servo
I love this plane as I just got it (I'm a beginner/Still getting into the hobby) I bought this as a second plane to my trainer. I don't have enough room in my backyard to fly this bird, which i wish I did. But I was practicing taxiing for about 3 minutes using rudder and stick on some bumpy grass, I was half throttled and using rudder and before you know it the rudder servo starts glitching out. Great plane but please buy an extra rudder servo before flying (just in case) Other than that the assembly was nice except as stated on someone elses assembly the fuselage has two unaligned screw holes. I got them together after some pressure. Good graphics on plane too. I love the air filled tires. Just make sure rudder servo works and buy an extra servo incase. Hope you guys dont have problems. - Cheers

Motor fried on maiden flight
Motor caught fire on the maiden and fried the ESC wires. Replaced with a DYS 3536-1000kv and an avian 45 smart ESC. Had too much time into the build to return the entire plane. FMS could not warranty. The new setup is slightly more power.

PA-18 1300mm
Plane Flies exactly as a Cub should. On board Gyro does a great job keeping the plane controllable in the wind (if you so desire :D) and the "safe" mode does a great job keeping the plane very tame in flight....I personally feel too disconnected in that mode.... feels like EXP is on 90% to me.Getting 5 mins of spirited flight time on 3s 2200 packs with 3.7-8 volts per cell.Love the pneumatic tires + the spring struts + Flaps (but honestly not needed but cool to have anyway!), awesome for grass operations! Love the Lights as well.... Oh and if you have a 7+ channel RX/TX you get Reverse Throttle! Way cool....so far, I've only used the reverse for taxi ops.Assembly was easy.... EXCEPT for the fuselage assembly. The two screws that are required to bolt the two halves together, the hole do not line up well and while it causes a snug fit (good thing) it is a pain to get these holes and bolts in...so take your time and apply some pressure to get them to line up.Overall, I highly recommend this plane for Intermediate and Seasoned pilots looking for a Cub STAL type plane, not a beginner plane IMO.

DO NOT BUY!!
Cheaply produced. More parts needed which doubled our cost; even then, it NEVER flew! My grandson was soo disappointed! We threw it out.

One year later...
Ive had this airplane for a year now and can report it is pretty rugged. The kit has everything except the battery.I would give the build an 8 out of 10.Flying:It does not fly itself. The gyro is nice for windy or bumpy days.Aileron and elevator response is good. Sometimes too touchy.Of course, these can be changed for your liking. The tires are awsome. It will take off and land on nearly anything within reason.Visibility on cloudy or partly cloudy days is not good. The decal trim dissapears and the plane looksall white. Put something on it for orientation. The main wing mounts are not really very durable. One tumble and they pull out of the foam fuselage. However, repairs to foam are very easy with epoxy or hot glue.Mine has been repaired twice. There is a youtube video that shows this airplane lazily cruising through a woods, over a swamp hole anddodging trees and bushes 3 feet off the ground.OK, it may be possible, but, the first time I tried flying with full flaps, I stalled the airplane and broke the nose off.Epoxy, hot glue fix. uff.Overall, this is a nice airplane. A bit overpriced IMO, but, nice.It is NOT a beginners airplane. A larger wingspan and lighter wing loading would be better fora beginner. A buddy box or compatible blue tooth co-pilot would work fine though.thats all.
