Replacement for original blendtec wildwide+ jar
My blendtec is 11 years old and about a year ago, the included wildside jar started to make a horrible noise when running, then started spitting black plastic into my smoothies.I found out that the black plastic/rubber housing around the blade on the original jars is known for going bad (surprising mine lasted as long as it did) so I finally ordered this replacement as it is much cheaper than a brand new commercial-style blender.I am happy to say that they have changed the design and it looks like this one will last as long- if not longer.I will update this review if anything happens along my daily usage schedule.

It's so good it's jarring
Will it blend? Well, I've never tried to put a Wildside blender jar into a Wildside blender jar, but it probably would. It is clearly well made and make amazing smoothies early in the morning provided you have the right ingredients.

Hard Plastic Lid - Poor Quality Construction - Designed to Fail
The media could not be loaded. First, the cheap quality hard plastic lid everybody talks about in the reviews is a real thing. This is an extremely expensive Blendtec jar for one of the most expensive luxury home kitchen blenders you can buy. The original jar that came with my Blendtec Designer series came with the identical 8 year warranty. The new jar comes with a 3 year warranty, and it's not hard to see why. The bearings are different. The original jar came with an expensive, higher quality, sealed bearing which failed on me after 9 years of semi-regular use. In both jars, the bearings appear to be glued in so you'd have to destroy the jar to try and replace them making the expensive jar non-serviceable, unlike Blendtec's most direct competitor. The new bearing seems to be a plain, cheap, non-sealed part with some metal brackets clam-shelled around it to try to keep liquid out. Once the bearings get wet, they'll be destroyed shortly thereafter. The 3 year warranty no doubt reflects Blendtec's expectations of earlier failure and a big paycheck to come back to them when you have to buy another at 1/3 of the whole blender kit's price. Charge a little less for the blender, make it back with replacement parts when they fail. It's like buying a printer for cheap and needing ultra-expensive ink. I used to be a huge proponent of Blendtec, but this jar design and the short warranty tells you everything you need to know about their commitment to quality these days.

Leaking Lid with very not much liquid in there
The media could not be loaded. Something wrong with the lid design. They knew about it and cheap plastic not seal , push u to spend more on their proper lid. Beware. What a nice sale tactics.
