Easy to use, like timer mode
The media could not be loaded. We bought this for our spring break travel so we don't need to worry about our chickens. This door works well as expected. It is easy to install and easy to use. I prefer to use the timer mode. It is safer than light sensor mode. we set the timer to open at sunrise and close 15 minutes after sunset to make sure all chickens will have entered the coop. The door is sturdy, made out of aluminum. The door will bounce up and pause 10 seconds if it is blocked by a chicken. but I wish it never happens because the motor is strong and it might still hurt the chicken.

High quality products, recommended!
The media could not be loaded. The timer and light sensor ensure your flock is securely tucked in at dusk and let out at dawn without constant supervision. The programmable LCD display makes customization simple, and the battery-powered operation means you don’t have to worry about power outages. The anti-pinch mechanism is a standout feature, providing extra peace of mind that your chickens won’t be harmed during operation. One potential improvement is the durability of the battery compartment, which could benefit from weatherproof reinforcement for extreme climates. However, the overall design is sturdy, and the door performs flawlessly under typical conditions. This is an excellent choice for anyone looking to simplify coop maintenance while prioritizing their chickens' safety.

Can’t beat the convenience.
The media could not be loaded. There were many times I would forget to close the door to the coop at night. I needed an automatic door. Thought I’d give this door a try because of the price. When I opened the box I immediately charged the unit using the included cable. After a full charge I installed the door onto my existing walk through door. It installed easily just make sure to attach it to a very flat surface because the door needs to be able to move up and down freely without binding. Once the door was installed the solar cell was mounted to the south wall of the coop.Been using the door for two months and it has worked flawlessly. I have only used the timed open and close function so I can’t comment on the sunrise/sunset function. The unit was easy to program. The solar cell has kept the battery topped off. As for the color of the unit, it fades quickly. So just pick whichever color is cheapest.Bottom line it’s convenient, reliable, and won’t break the bank.

Weak motor can't close the door
In theory, this door works. Reality, not so much. The motor is very lacking. ANY speck of dust, dirt, sand that gets in any part of the track the door slides on will cause it to jam up because the motor is too weak to push past it, and therefore it will not close. Rendering this thing useless and 100% unreliable. I've even tried to go out there every other day with an air duster to try and blow any speck of dust that might be in there. Nope. Won't close anymore unless I go and shove it down. Then you can hear the weak motor trying to run it closed. Trash. I have my door raised up so the chickens have to go up a ramp to get to it so it's not like it's on the ground getting dirt kicked all in it. I live in the desert so my backyard is all sand. This thing got specks of sand in it simply just from the wind blowing a few pieces. So not a lot. And now it won't close. Also, the opening hole is VERY tiny. My chickens are 3 months old and have to duck to get through this thing. My 3 month old roo, who is slightly bigger than the rest, has to duck and shinmy to get through it. I can't imagine them coming close to fitting through this as full grown chickens. Is there such an automatic door that is bigger than 9-10 inches at the opening so standard sized chickens can actually fit?? All that I see on Amazon are that size. I honestly can't even see full grown bantam chickens comfortably fitting through this tiny hole.I'm going to look into an automatic doggie door instead of these tiny chicken coop doors.I would not recommend.

Great Design. Rugid, Just that dang light sensor...
This is a great product i love the full aluminum frame and the spring loaded arms at the top. It is easy to programs. Solar panel is a nice touch. Not sure how long it will last though. The only frustrating thing is that you have to POINT IT TOWARDS THE SUN. if it points to the shade the light sensor does not work. You can select your light sensitivity from 100 to 31 for the OPEN and 100 to 0 to CLOSE. Thats great except when pointing away from the sun it never got above 28. I will they would just let me go lower on the OPEN setting then it would be perfect!

Great product
Great door. It occasionally gets frozen shut in very cold MN winters but the chickens don't need to come out on those days anyway. Never had any issues yet and we've had it a year.

An easy set up and a must have in a homestead!!
The media could not be loaded. We ordered this automatic chicken coop door to help around the homestead. The lighted LCD display makes it easy to read day or night. This door has 4 different modes that are easy to operate. It can operate based off of time, light, or a combination of time and light. The door also comes with a solar panel to usb - C, to charge the internal battery. It also comes with a remote so the door can be manually opened from 60 feet away. It is extremely easy to install. The door itself comes fully assembled and only takes 6 screws to secure it to the coop. The solar panel bracket uses three screws. It even comes with wire management brackets!

Great chicken door
We have one door that has to be manually set or it can be set to the sun. This one has a clock setting or can be set with the sun. The other brand doesn't open and close all the time. In 6 months we have never had a problem. Ith it opening and closing. Easy to reset the scheduled times, easy to install and use.
