The butt patch is plastic instead of leather but I'm sure there's a reason for that. It fits a bit larger. A 6 months fits my chonky 4 month 18 pound baby perfectly.

sizing is a challenge
4 stars bc sizing was an issuebut other then that, these are so cute!!I got these for a birthday bash where we celebrated several cuties turning 1 year old and used them during cake smash time!Reference: 1 baby who’s in the 50th % and was 13 months fit into the 6 months very well2 baby’s in the 80th % (weight about 25 lbs) 12 months fit them better as a diaper cover and a bit baggy if just wearing the cover with no diaper underneathHope this helps someone!
