BKC FPK 8 foot folding kayak
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this through Amazon, as opposed to directly from BKC's website. The price was the same, the color selection slightly less, but after seeing several negative reviews about BKC and delivery time, I liked the idea of Amazon serving as a buffer. Delivery was estimated at three weeks, I received it in Colorado in only 10 days. Delivery was unexpected, no email or text warning, I was glad I was home. BKC's website advises to totally unpack the kayak before dismissing the delivery crew, but they were in a hurry, and the heavy plastic, cardboard and bubble wrap packaging looked intact. So they left. Unpacking was uneventful, nothing missing, nothing damaged. As advertised. Listed at 65 pounds, almost 10 pounds of that is the metal and rubber flipper drive.(extra set of flippers enclosed) No instructions as to assembly, but BKC's website has links to all the instructional videos. I purchased this because it folds, and fits into the back of my RAV. The flipper drive actually propels it quite nicely, but doesn't allow for reverse. The kayak can be folded with the seat attached, just loosen the seat straps. Actually a well crafted fishing kayak for this price point.

Foldable Pedal Kayak
My kayak did not arrive on the delivery date. I email BKC, I got a response right away. I asked for the tracking information, BKC promptly sent it to me. I learned that my kayak had been sitting in a warehouse a little over a two hour drive from my home, and had been there for 14 days, now this is the shipping company's fault. BKC does hire the shipping company, so they are not completely blameless. On another note, I love my pedal kayak, I am going to use it as much as I can before winter hits. :)

design
This kayak is extremely convenient to use . I can fit it into my minivan with a lot of rooms for other stuff . and you can use a handtruck to carry it to the boat launch in folded form . No need tie , just do it like you move an appliance with dolly . The kayak is compact but wider than most of other kayaks . it's very easy to turn , speed is not that fast but if you pedal hard it can still achieve enough speed . Perfect for fishing in almost any condition
