Lovely book Matt makes you laugh and he just seems like a very good vet although there are sad bits as well. When reading this book it makes you realise being a vet isn't an easy life . But he has his wife and daughter who he clearly adores.

Matt’s relatable account of his journey to become a country vet is both inspiring and interesting in its surprising diversions. A great Yorkshire blockbuster that exhibits both grit and determination as well as humility and humour. Alf White's brilliant and ever shining legacy lives on.

Book for christmas

Very humorous but also emotional, details the work of a vet. A good read, just have some tissues handy.

I really enjoyed this book. It's very clear that Matt is a happy man who enjoys his life and career. It's written as he speaks on TV. Fast paced and accurate, detailing both his triumphs and failures and gives a very clear impression that life in a mixed veterinary practice is not all sunshine and roses. It's hard work and long hours often in arduous conditions. His interest in exotic species adds a slightly different flavour to that of other vet books.In short a very good read and I recommend it highly. I hope it's the first of a series.

Really liked this book that goes through Matt's early life, training as a vet and working in vetinary practice. Also his work on The Yorkshire Vet. Well written and interesting all the way through.

I got this Matt the Yorkshire vet biography for my sister, she watches all of the vets programs and she’s read a few of the Vet biographies and this was up among the best, she said that this book was really interesting. She thoroughly enjoyed it so I would recommend it.

Really enjoyed his story and the fun and sadness of being a Vet.
