I don't use oil to cook I used lard. I used to make my own but it is too much to deal with. I was skeptical at first but when I opened the container I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I add 1/4 cup to my sourdough bread and it comes out very soft. I am almost done with it. Will reorder for sure.

Pure clean lard with no off flavors or smells. Much more economical than the bricks of stinky lard sold in supermarkets, and this stuff is like velvet.

Good quality. Worked well in my cold process soap making. Smells good and looks like it went through thorough processing. Best quality and price among all other grass fed lard I looed into. Will buy again.

I love that this is pure white, odorless, smooth and easy-to-use lard, and it was fully 5 lbs. The bucket was so thoroughly sealed I had to use pliers to get the lid off, which damaged the lid. That wasn't an issue for me because I already planned to weigh out 1-lb packages to refrigerate or freeze for future use. After many years of giving up lard, I was delighted to learn it's actually a healthier cooking fat than butter and many vegetable fats. It makes the flakiest pie crusts, lightest biscuits, and is perfect for frying. I'm really glad I found this, because it's not easy to find good quality lard anymore.

I saw some reviews saying the cannister was only half filled - it's still 5lbs. In fact my cannister was 5.6 lbs! Thank you for the 1/2 lb exta! I love seeing people learn the health benefits of ditching the vegetable and seed oils and returning to healthy fats like lard, butter and tallow. For those with any kind of neurological disorder, healthy fats is the way to go regarding diet. This lard is perfect! Smooth, clean, no scent or odor when cooking, and the flavor is just right! Brings out so much flavor in all fried foods without the harmful effects of oxidation like from other oils. My wife is super picky about her food, and she has a blood hound-like nose. She's loved everything I've cooked using this lard and hasn't complained once about any odor. Fried eggs are the ultimate test, and she loved them. This is a must for the culinary folks.

Ordered this last minute to make some soap after I realized the other company I ordered from didn't ship expedited like I paid for. This arrived on time and worked perfectly for my soap making needs. Highly recommend. Lard was not discolored nor did it have a bad odor.

Nice stuff, switching to tallow or coconut oil for cooking.
