Hallelujah! A Solution for Holding an Ice Pack on My Foot After Exercise / Physical Therapy!
I am currently undergoing physical therapy for severe Plantar fasciitis and a bone spur that pokes up into my Achilles tendon. The therapy is designed to stretch and strengthen the surrounding muscles and tendons. So far, it has been pretty effective, with the next step, if the therapy isn't enough, being some serious surgery to remove the bone spur, with downtime in a cast for 16 weeks. The therapy consists of exercises that do cause a bit of pain and discomfort on their own, which requires icing down the ankle and heel area afterwards, just as playing tennis or hiking through the woods, or even going on a long walk requires. The problem with the icing, though, is that the long, narrow ice pack designed to wrap around the foot is quite difficult for me to secure correctly. My Physical Therapist said to put it in a pillowcase and tie it around my foot. I just can't get that to work. I've also tried securing it with an Ace bandage, but that is hard as well, since I am pretty inflexible and tall (this is part of the underlying cause of the Plantar fasciitis and bone spur). After seeing someone in a walking boot, I decided to try ordering one so that I could put the ice pack in the boot, then my foot in the pillow case, then tighten the boot around the ice pack.It works great! I ordered the XL boot even though my foot is a large size. Now I can comfortably wear the ice pack, and even walk around if I feel like it. Now I'm icing more frequently, and this makes doing my Physical Therapy exercises far more comfortable.Pros:• Inexpensive and built for wear outside and inside• Velcro straps and padding hold the ice pack securely• LightweightCons:• None

I feel like I have wings on my bad foot now because of this boot.
I couldn’t be more pleased with this boot. After 2 yrs and 4 surgeries to fuse this ankle I think we may have it right now. I’ve been in a high boot off and on for most of that time and in a wheelchair for same amount of time. Finally, metal rods and screws may have done the trick. I’m finally in weight bearing mode and physical therapy. And I can drive since it’s my left foot. However, the boot from doctor is so heavy that I can hardly lift my foot up into car.it’s hot and clunky and due to a complication of surgeries I have developed lymphodema (a lymph node issue that has caused my leg and foot to balloon). Walking is a therapy but boot was so heavy I dragged my leg behind. That leg is also now 2” shorter than non operative leg and causes me to limp significantly, causing back pain. I can have a lift heel placed on a shoe to equal leg length but can’t find a shoe anywhere to accommodate foot swelling. And in came this wonderful boot. Lighter like a dream. Soft as a comfy quilt around my foot. Easy to put on. Quieter when I walk. Accommodated foot and ankle swelling without embarrassing open gaps with additional soft pads to insert at gap points. Gives as much support as hospital boot. And certainly a good price, under $50.00. My hospital boot cost hundreds. According to size chart I should have taken a Medium, however with swelling I went one size up and they are perfect. I doubt I’ll ever be able to fit into a regular shoe on that foot again. It is what it is. If not, I hope the tech can fit this boot with a lift to equal out my gait because walking crooked hurts my back. I will keep my fingers crossed. If I can get the lifts on this boot, I’ll not hesitate to buy another one to avoid wearing one out . I’ll be blessed. Good luck to anyone who may need to order this boot.

Good Boot
Women's size 6.5 and I ordered extra small with a perfect fit. It's more bulky than I thought but easy to walk in with a curved bottom. It also has a tread on the bottom for outdoors. Plan to use it for a couple weeks for rather mild plantar fasciitis to hopefully speed up healing.

Good boot for the price.
I sprained my foot attempting to walk up stairs (graceful, I know!) I ordered this boot and wasn’t sure the size due to no size chart available. I based my sizing on other boot sizing and went with a medium. That was a mistake. The boot is too big, but I have figured out a workaround. Once that was figured out, the boot works great. The straps are very secure and I’m not worried about it coming loose or further injuring my foot. I’ve had it just over a week now and I have no complaints except it does get a bit heavy by the end of the day (as I imagine they all do. I’ve never had to use a boot before). I feel very secure in this boot. I like the lower boot height. It’s less intrusive and blends in more with your clothing than a taller boot would. Overall, I like this boot and recommend it. I would ask the manufacturer to add a size chart to help others avoid buying the wrong size.
