Kept my dogs busy for hours.
My two dogs have never had a lick mat before, and they like to destroy any new “toy” or contraption I get them.... but this was an exception!I bought some doggy peanut butter from Amazon and used the back of a spoon to squish it in between all of the little spaces, my dogs were at it for nearly an hour solid. I could not believe it!If I had frozen it it would have lasted much longer I think, that is what I will be doing next time.This is a brilliant product to keep your animals entertained, and for animals who eat things too fast as it takes them time to lick all the food out of the little spaces.The only qualm I have is that it is a little smaller than I expected it to be based on the picture, but it doesn’t matter as my dogs just love it.

Finally some peace and quiet!
The media could not be loaded. Me and my 5 month old pup love this. I got the idea from dog training as my boy was getting a bit excitable and my trainer gave this to him with some squeezy cheese on.Everybody needs these! I am going to get the other two types now. I tend to dab squeezy cheese on it and rub it in then get a soft Nature's Menu treat (chicken or lamb) and rub them across until crumbs distributes across the mat.My pup will spend so much time licking the treats from the mat and it really calms him down and gives him focus. I like using it when I groom him a so can hold it up and brush his chin whilst he is distracted.These are also easy to wash. Just use a kitchen brush to brush between the little outer rubber nodules and let it dry.All in all, needed for everybody who prays for a bit of peace and quiet! And no I wouldn't recommend leaving anything alone with your dog it could destroy and choke on, so take it off your dog when he's done. My puppy has made no attempt to break it so far!

Very good product
My beagle (aged 4) likes it when I put Greek yogurt on her Lickimat. It is ideal to keep her occupied during my main meal times and seems to have a calming effect. It needs close supervision though as she has pulled some of the nodules off with her teeth. Hence 4 stars and not 5.

Cheap and engaging
Excellent at keeping my puppy entertained for 5/10 minutes. It's very engaging for her and is a good way for her to calm down after we've just finished playing or charging around outside. I used peanut butter on it (but please make sure there's no sweetners and palm oil in it, ideally just peanuts) and intend to put her wet food on it too.Never leave your puppy alone with it and it isn't very durable - that's the nature of the product though and is clearly explained in the description.Buy a cheap toothbrush - it's excellent for cleaning it off, otherwise can be a bit tricky!

Value for money if your dog is not destructive
It's good value for money and does the trick but it's not all too thick or durable for dogs who are likely to chew on it for sensory stimulation as its very easily broken and has been chewed up. Probably better for smaller dogs

Use correctly & with full supervision 10/10
Our pup inhales his food so invested in a slow feeding bowl and this lick mat. We put 3/4 of his meal in the slow feeding bowl and the last 1/4 smeared onto the lick mat. The bowl has slowed down his eating and the mat calms him whilst he finishes his food off. Yes cleaning could be tricky but if you clean it under running warm/hot water which softens not only the mat but the food and so makes it so much easier to clean. Dogs can easily chew the little bits off or rip the mat up to get to the food so must be supervised at ALL times, dogs not being supervised is not the makers problem so very sad to see so many 1 stars for your dogs doing what comes naturally to them. We watch ours and the second he does anything more than the gentle licking we remove the mat from him. Afterwards he sleeps as the mat soothed him as stated. Highly recommend this product for use with full supervision.

Dogs love it
The media could not be loaded. My dogs have never been so quiet unless they are asleep. Smeared with dog friendly peanut butter and I have 30 minutes of peace and quiet. I have also noticed how much concentration they have while cleaning the mat so good exercise for their brains. They washed up really well, good size for my collies, easy to smear your chosen treat and easy for the dogs to lick the mat but not to easy where they are just eating instead f licking.Overall good value mat.

Calming mat
I work in a vets so bought this after hearing that lickimats help calm dogs down. It mentally stimulates them in an enriching positive way. This way they don’t get too over excited and overwhelmed. I picked this one particularly as they have to lick for ages to get a wet food out. My Westie gets restless and a bit worked up sometimes if she’s not had enough time with us that day. Usually give her this in the evenings and she spends about 30mins and then settles down. Now I use it daily.It’s one of the more sturdy silicone ones. My staffy chomped through the one with squares as he was trying to pull it out. This one he can do for ages unsupervised and not damage.
