I like it, but they're proud
I like what this does, and that I can use different media without having to get into my canister but I think this is a bit overpriced for what it is. One big caution, when I first used this I added PhosBond, the power of the pump pushed some of this past the sponge and into the tank. I added two sponge filther at the bottome two on the top and put some weight on the top to ensure the phosbond wouldn't escape. Unfortunally, I think one of my fish ate some of the PhosBond before I noticed this and passed away. My own falut for not wathing this closer. So just beware of the flow and how you contain the added media. Overall I am glad I have this product, I can monitor water parameters and use different filtration media and adjust as necessary.

Attractive and Well Designed
I was seriously impressed with the size and quality of this reactor. The body is made of thick acrylic, making it lightweight and durable. It comes with two sets of sponges to use, depending on what you decide to fill it with. All of the pieces fit together snugly and securely. This thing is super nice and functions very much like a simplified in-tank filter.Employed as a source of supplemental filtration for a medium to large sized tank, this reactor really shines. If your main filtration is leaving your water cloudier or stinkier than you would like, you could fill this thing with activated carbon and the water will be clearer and less foul smelling. If you are having issues with high ammonia or nitrate levels, just fill this thing with bio media and after a number of days, your friendly neighborhood nitrifying bacteria will process those harmful chemicals into less harmful nitrates. Heck, even though it's not mentioned, you could probably even put some filter floss in there and polish that water crystal clear. The choice is yours.Any drawbacks to this thing? Well, I can think of one... it takes up space in your tank. If this is going in a 75 gallon tank, then no biggie. If it's going into a 20 gallon tank, be prepared to forfeit some real estate in there. Other than that, it's quiet, effective, attractive, and versatile. Great product.

Looks powerful
The media could not be loaded. Update - 10/4/24After 2 weeks running Rowaphos, the lower sponge get loose and compact everything in the top. 😔 Not at good that I thought. BTW, pump is in the lower flow possible by the pump.First day - 9/22/24 Originally 5 starts.Just installed. At the moment looks ok running on the lower power with Rowaphos.

Great media reactor
The small pump is pretty strong, even on lowest setting but it’s ok. I use 2 sponges on top so GFO cannot escape. A media reactor is a must when using GFO. I had a simple media bag before and it didn’t lower phosphates at all. I now use even less GFO in the reactor and now my phosphates are almost zero. .01

Nice small simple reactor, does the job well.
Some reactors are a bit too complicated for their own good IMO. I run a BioCube 32 with soft coral and 2 clowns (17 years old!) so my bioload is not huge. I do like to run Purigen of GFO every once in a while and the sump system in the tank does not produce enough flow for these products to run well. The AquaReady hangs off the back of my tank, is quite and provides the right amount of flow for the media I use, not too strong but enough to get a bit of tumbling action. I don't run it all of the time, maybe once every 10 days, and it keeps my phosphates low. An easy inexpensive solution without a lot of bells and whistles.
