With 8' ceilings you don't have many choices when it comes to ceiling fans. Most hang too low. If you've been to home improvement stores you know they don't carry more than 1 or 2 that hang less than 15 inches from the ceiling. This is one of the nicer, more modern looking ceiling fans. The instructions are easy to follow - easy to assemble and easy to connect wiring and hang. No matter what your room size is, when you look up what size the fan should be, it'll always show a size range. I purchased on the larger end of the spectrum but it looked gigantic after it was assembled! I thought I'm made a huge mistake. I'm glad I didn't send it back because now that it's up it perfect!! Anything smaller wouldn't move enough air on low to make a difference in the room. I know this because I have smaller fans in my smaller bedrooms, the type that have fan blades in the center of the light fixture. They're pretty but they don't have the span of air movement. Anyway - I highly recommend this fan for rooms that only have a 8' ceiling. 5 Stars!

I recently bought this for our front room that gets a little stuffy in the summer. It was easy to install, and it works amazing! We got the white fan, and it blends in with our ceiling, so it isn't very noticeable. The light works very well, and has two or three different color temps (I like the warm white). Also, when the light isn't on, it actually just looks like there isn't a light fixture, which I really like since that is usually the part of a ceiling fan that makes it look a little gaudy. The fan moves the air really well, and the motor is silent. It comes with a remote control. We put some command strip velcro on the back of it so that it is attached to the wall near the light switch.Love this fan so far! Would definitely buy another one!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I thought this item was real wood. It’s cheap white plastic. Once up on the ceiling, one cannot tell it’s plastic. I bought this for my beach rental. I’m unsure my older guests will like the hassle of the remote. The fan wouldn’t wire to the separate switch. If you like having a remote only fan, it’ll be fine. Very cheaply made. It does not use light bulbs. It is a bright almost blue LED light. Unsure if that’s what you’d want in a bedroom for your actual home-I would not. For a rental it is fine. It is quiet and seems to put off quite a bit of air.Ease of installation:Quick to install.

Great Product. Sturdy, beautiful and quiet. Comes with a remote for easy access. Speeds are great. Somewhat heavy for stability.

I bought this because it was modern looking and the reviews said easy to install.This Taloya 52” ceiling fan did not live up to the great reviews. First of all, it was not easy to install for two main reasons:1. You have to install the blades first before hanging!2. The “hook” you hang the canopy and motor with blades isn’t a hook shape, it’s an L shape so the big canopy can easily slip off with one wrong movement. So you really need to wire the remote first, not wire it to the motor (plug in) then try to wire it to the ceiling as the directions tell you and at the same time pray the canopy doesn’t fall off the L hook.The directions aren’t clear, but if you’ve hung fans before you can figure out the best way to go about it.Also, to attach the canopy to the mounting bracket you have to loosen the screws to the ceiling because the screws on the canopy won’t fit into the mounting bracket because it’s too close to the ceiling. Then the fan shakes when it’s on so you have to slip folded cardboard into the space between the mounting bracket and ceiling.The fan and blades look cheap. The blades are obviously plastic and the light on the fan is small and toylike, although it’s bright. Seeing this in person I think it was overpriced even on sale at $88. It should be maybe $40. Also, I have to get right under the fan for the remote to work.

Looks good, blades are made of plastic....not cool Runs quiet and relatively easy to install. One installation snag, house is wired for two switches, one for fan, other for light. This unit is only wired for one and then you need to use the remote.Another note, it says that the light is dimmable, but not really. Yes you can change the color by turning off and then back on so the lumens are less, but dimmable is when you can raise or lower to the brightness you desire. I think that is an issue for amazon to address.I do think it was too pricey for the less quality so am stuck with it. Lesson learned.
