A very good option!
A high quality CD-deck without a killing prize! It was like hear the CD's for the first time. I had a PhillipsCD-deck before but this NAD-deck top it.I can recommend this one with happyness!

Good for sound
This is a crackingly good cd player but I wish they would manufacture them so the lens is on a tray which can be removed for cleaning. this model of cd is a dust magnet and had to go back for repairs. Dust on the lens. Sound is good. But main thing is its stable on the tracking. But NAD does rely on its old reputation a bit with the high pricing. Got this one cheap. So cant afford another once this one expires. I wonder if they only expire cos they cant be easily cleaned? I did see a record turn table on line that had been modified into both a record player and a cd player. A homemade modification

Great machine
I have an Old Nad cd player which is 25 years old and starting to play up. It's been so good and although it doesn't play CDR discs it has been excellent. The new one does and sounds just as good as the old one.it is very good and meets all expectations.

UPDATE
The player stopped working after 2 months.Briefly the Disc tray would not engage fully and the CD player simply would not play.I should stress the device has not had much use nor in anyway has it had an misuse.I ontacted the selelr Seven Oaks who have been brilliant.Accepting the player back and forwarding on to NAD.However on receipt back of the player it has reverted to the original problem dispite NAD reporting that an ;imprved CD tray was inserted'For this simple reaason I cannot recommend this CD player.SEVEN Oaks have been brilliant NAD no so.This is what I originally reported.I have a NAD amplifier and my JB7 was giving up the ghost and has been a bad purchase. There are a great selection of CD playes BUT it seemed a good idea to get a CD player from the same firm as the Amplifier. This is a beautifful CD playeer that matches my amp perfectly. The music is now bright the highs great and the Base wonderful/each and every Cd that I play sounds just better,The fact I got my Player for a bargain £199 down from £402 is a big bonus.Just because the firm change the spec and add a new number to their new CD players does not make the older numbers any worse. This is an excellent CD player but I would check and recheck that you are not paying more from this older player than the newer modles.

Just what was needed
Bought for a present and the recipient was delighted with the product, particularly the sound reproduction. Very pleased with the purchase

A great product that compliments my NAD amplifier and tuner.
Everything I expected it to be, having had a NAD cd player previously. It's great to be able to play my collection again.

Nad c538
Nad c538, a very detailed and musical sound. Needs a good few days run in to open up. Works well, is thin and discreet.

I've bought 2 they don't work
I wouldn't bother buying another one NAD they have gone right down hill only selling on old quality decks and name . I bought 2 from Sevenoaks both didn't work . Remote problem aim at deck to change track nothing just rubbish save your money OK
