DO NOT BUY- LEAKS!
I’ve spent a few hours just trying to get this T connection to not leak. Going to have to go to the store and get a replacement part as this valve is faulty. Contacted the manufacturer and they have not said they can send a replacement part, but that I can repack the item, ship it back, and they will send a replacement. I do not recommend this item.

Good RO system
I've been using the Midea 4-Stage RO System for a couple of months now, and overall, I'm quite pleased. Installation was straightforward, especially for a DIY project; the instructions were clear, and I didn't need to call a plumber. The water taste is excellent, significantly better than tap water, and we can really tell the difference. It's NSF/ANSI certified, which gives peace of mind regarding safety and quality. The system produces 75 GPD, which is sufficient for my family, but I do wish the waste water ratio was a bit better. It does take a little space under the sink, but that's expected with most RO systems. My only minor gripe is that the filter replacement indicator isn't very intuitive, but it's not a deal-breaker. For anyone looking to upgrade their home water quality, this is a solid choice.

Instructions are lacking, but overall a decent buy.
I can tell whoever wrote the instructions gave it a good attempt. A+ for effort. However, it is still very unclear and some research online had to be made during installation. The most frustrating part was the included valve was the correct diameter and thread size, but leaked. No matter how tight you screw it in, it never presses far enough to seal it against the washer. Several trips to the hardware looking for a thicker washer still failed. Ended up buying a new value of a different brand. Essentially, what should have been a 1 hour installation, took half a day and a lot of frustration.Other than the installation issues, the system seems to be working without hiccup. I don't have a tds meter so I will have to assume it is filtering correctly.

Out well water tastes better now!
We got into this cuz we have deep well water. We do have sand filter and softener but we have 3 young kids and felt it wasn’t enough. After couple of cycles of the midea system the water taste just like purified water. It was a relatively easy installation process but drill through counter and drainage pipes were required.

Bad Instructions and Poorly Made Parts
So like another reviewer mentioned I had to go to the hardware store for the correct parts. They give you a ball valve that has a compression style fitting but uses a flat washer instead of a regular compression fitting. This bottoms out on the threads of your water line before hitting the washer inside. Resulting in lots of wobble and water spraying out when you turn it on. Not great. I had to make two trips to the hardware store as I got washers a hair too small the first time. The washer I used was such a tight fit and had to be pushed in with a flat head screwdriver. I did remove the original washer first. with the thicker washer I was able to create a water tight seal. For those wondering the size of the washer I used had an outer diameter of 17/32"The instructions for this thing could not exist as far as I am concerned. It's pretty bad and they go over nothing really. The video here on the product page helped to an extent but even that skips over steps. They seem to be too busy trying to make an instructional video in to an advertisement rather than just focusing on giving their customers the instructions. Not too mention the video uses a different model than this one. So that's fun. Like other reviewers I had to go online and I received help from videos made by other manufacturers which should be embarrassing to Midea. After install it seems to be fine. The video says to run for thirty minutes and the instructions say to dump the first tank. I just dumped the first tank.I live in Arizona and have the HARDEST hard water. After testing the water the ppm went from nearly 800 to about 75. I also tested some Arrowhead Mountain Spring water and it was at about 220 ppm. I'm not sure if the ppm coming out of the system should be less. From my understanding it typically is lower in RO systems but I really don't know.At the end of the day I ordered this for backup water. Me and my dogs drink bottled water but sometimes it's a pain to run to the store every time we run out or we are waiting for water delivery. So this is great for me. Also physically this is very easy to put together but mentally with terrible instructions that was the hard part. I hate having to work for something I bought so it actually will work so it lost alot of stars. I hate unclear instructions. I also hate just the fact that they clearly did not try this out at any point while they designed it. It works but it's not impressive or anything.
