is the 12 inch louder then the 10 inch? and how loud are they?

I got the 12's. They bang. Specs on each about the same. 10 you get a tighter thump and a 12 I hear more of a harder thump. If looking for just sound quality I've been happy. Always ran 10s in my truck but home and out door use 12s. Hope that sort of helps. DB range and peak the same. Be on the person.

I’ve connected a cable to each of the pass through ports on my 2 speakers - no sound. also, putting them together in a group with the jbl app.

I think the same happened to me. Fix: When I turned the ch1 knob from -20dB to 0dB on the receiving speaker (XLR cable into ch1 connector), I got sound equal to the sending speaker (cable from passthru connector). The passthru connector is output only!

Is a subwoofer built-in on the EON 715?

It doesn't have a subwoofer. It's just a Tweeter and a woofer in this speaker.
