Sooo easy to use & cleans very well.
when I received my sonar 50 I charged it up in about 1-1/2 hours went out to the pool, turned it on & tossed it in. From there it took off and did a great job cleaning my pool which was very dirty with leaves, sand & cottonwood seeds. After about 1 hour of running I took it out to clean the filter because I knew there was so much debris in the pool there was no way it would all fit in the filter basket. It was picking up everything from sand to leaves that were about 4". I tossed it back in and let it get back to work, it did great and the only slight missed spot that it had was in a corner by the steps which I expected would be a tough spot. the next day I ran it again just to keep the pool spotless and it caught that tough spot too. I am extremely happy so far. It's been about 10 days. I run it about every other day now and my pool looks great.

$500 for piece of garbage dies after only 6 months
worked fine for 6 months then suddenly flashes red and then purple light but no obstructions and Maytronics takes months to respond saying comes from Israel ??? As far as I can tell it is made in China and sold by Maytronics but they dont want to fix or replace it. Yet I bought the exact same pool robot from Seauto for $200 less on Amazon 6 months earlier and it ALSO dies after 6 months but Seauto replaced that unit within a couple weeks with a brand new one. I always buy 2 units so I always have a spare. They are basically same units made by Seauto from China. So now Im out $500 and who knows when or if Maytronics will do anything about it. My advise is if you are going to buy one of these buy the cheaper unit from China, at least they replace it quickly, but it seems strange to me that both units died about 6 months, BOTH just stopped working, so maybe they just dont hold up to more use than that??? Ive had other pool vacs in past lasted about 2-3 years at least but not cordless. Maybe there are better cordless units but these were basically same and both only lasted 6 months. I still have the replacement Seuto unit working fine so far. Good luck.

Warranty Critical to Decision
I just purchased Niya 50 because i value warranty from a trusted company. While I am impressed with its aggressive waterline cleaning, it did take me 4 passes to get my 30 x 16 19k gallon pool clear. I started with standard which got all the leaves. The robot left a string of sand in the crevice between deep floor and wall. The final run in wall mode finally got this along with a good scrubbing of 2/3 waterline. The last 45 minutes it was only able to climb up wall halfway. I'm hoping that running Niya a couple times a week will now keep my pool clean. I wish there was an affordable robot with a reliable warranty and manual control.Incidentally, I fashioned a buoy and 10' tether from my old Polaris cable. This makes retrieval much easier.Update: Going to test value of this warranty early. Unit is not charging after just 1 month.Update 2: The unit finally charged after 2 days. This seems to be related to battery status. It seems to recharge quickly if I pull it out while red light is still blinking. Maytronics is shipping a new charger under warranty. So perhaps a further update after it is tested.Update: The new charger was promptly shipped and does appear to resolve the charging problem. But I have only used the unit twice recently.

One of the best vacuums on the market at a good price.
The media could not be loaded. I seen a video on YouTube that said this vacuum only had one filter and that it did not pick up the fine stuff so I was hesitant on buying it. I am so glad that I did. It's been 20 years since I have had a huge pool like this 16x32 with a sand filter. I forgot the most important thing after backwashing is to rinse. I was horrified when I turned it back on and it blew out sand in a big Dark Cloud into my beautiful blue water. I immediately decided to go ahead and give this vacuum a try, I have not been let down. Besides purchasing the pool this was the next best purchase I made. The only thing I have to do is maintained the chemicals and use my net to remove the stuff off the top from the trees. I love the fact that I could send it back within a certain length of time if I was not satisfied. But I can promise you this monster won't be going anywhere LOL I call it Monster because I am not very strong, and it's not heavy to put in the pool but it is when lifting it out and it full of water it does weigh a lot. But once I pull it to the top of the pool and let it drain the water out of the vacuum back into the pool it is amazing to see every little bitty bug no matter how small the nat or sand in the basket. Why waste thousands of dollars if this one will do the job. I gave it a five only because I couldn't give it a 10.

Very unhappy with this product
I purchased this cleaner several weeks ago. It runs okay for a while until it gets to the pool drain and just sits there until I move it. Then it gets confused and moves a few feet forward and a few feet backward over and over until I get tired of watching it. The reset process in the user manual does not work. The mobile app is useless as it only allows you to change cleaning modes which you can do on the cleaner as long as it is not in the water. The only thing that works well is the plastic hook that when locked into a long pole, allows you to remove the cleaner from the pool.
