My dogs have broken so many dog doors because they are plastic. Decided to try this one. Installed it EASILY yesterday and this thing is awesome! It is solid and if they break it, we're going to the vet. It fits perfectly in the hole I already had, the locking part is great and different which is good because my dogs figured out how to unlock the one I had before and the door insert is solid so they won't break it either!Only issue I'm seeing so far is the flaps are kind of weird but I'm going to see if I can make any adjustments to make it better. Not a big deal and I'm 100% happy with my purchase!

I was looking for a high quality dog door that could be secured for when I'm traveling. So many dog doors have cheap, plastic locking doors but this one is the only one made of metal! Love this door, seems like quality that will last a long time. I paid a handiman to install it since I didn't have time but I think it could easily be done with just a few simple tools. Instructions looked clear and easy to follow.

I am incredibly happy with this pet door! Both a raccoon and a stray cat were able to break through the plastic door panel of my previous pet door. Several sleepless nights ensued while I built obstacles in front of our door and jumped at every sound. This was the only pet door I found with a locking metal panel the local wildlife can't break through!The peace of mind is immense. I highly recommend. It was easy and straightforward to install and very solid.

This is a well-designed, high quality pet door. It is a refined version of the traditional pet door and compared with similar-looking products, there are notable differences in the details. As other reviewers have noted, it works great and is easy to install. The template is exacting so if you want an easier install cut around the outside of the line.What I liked:- Stainless steel frame. Won't rust or crack, and the white enamel coating appears durable.- Thick transparent (but not clear) vinyl flaps with removable magnets. The sides are felt-lined making a good seal. My bengal cats love being able to see through the flap. Since I could temporarily remove the magnets and either of the flaps, training was a breeze.- Design of the lockable panel. The black handle looks nicer than other models and the lock is more discreet. The spring bearings in the side channels hold the panel snugly so the panel doesn't rattle when the door is opened or closed.- Designed for quality. The fit of all the parts seemed perfect, and the package even included a tube of sealant which I thought was a nice touch. This pet door didn't seem cost-reduced to the absolute minimum which I have experienced with other products.What could be improved (all minor):- Larger screw holes or adjusting slots, and better screws. The holes in the panel are just big enough for the screws. It installs fine but there is no room to square up the panel before tightening. And for some reason the supplied screws didn’t grip the screwdriver tightly making them hard to tighten when screwing into hard wood.- I wish the flap was a bit more flexible so the kittens would have an easier time going in and out. Silicone?- Truly hidden fasteners for a more built-in look. It may not be possible to redesign the door without reducing reliability or increasing the cost, but it would be nice to have.Shopping for pet doors is a bit like shopping for a mattress; not something you do very often and there are many variations of what appear to be the same product at first glance. Overall, I was impressed. If you're looking for a refined version of a traditional pet door and don’t need a middle flap for extreme weather, I think this model is a good choice.

Purchased this when my daughter moved back with her dog. Unfortunately one of the magnetic strips came off , with no way to reattach it. I reached out to the seller directly inquiring how and if I could purchase a replacement flap. They went beyond my expectations and sent a complete set of new flaps along with an insulated panel , which is a bonus during the cold months in Michigan. I offered to pay for the replacements but they sent them to me at no cost and super fast shipping . I would highly rate this seller based on that alone. The door works perfect and would buy again.

Solid metal door. Was easy to install with the provided hardware. Our cats were a bit suspicious, but now they are using it just fine.We removed one of the flaps for the moment until they are used to it.Framed it in on the inside to make it match our molding.Note 1: The flaps are slightly different in size as one frame is slightly larger to allow the telescoping for the wall thickness adjustment. If you remove the flaps, make sure you install them in the right frame or the larger one will get stuck.Note 2 Sizing: The diameter is at the lower limit for our 14lbs cat.
