I love this lyre so much!
This is my second lyre. My first one is blue and I love it, but I needed a natural colored one for reenactment events, plus I needed a second one sooner so that I can play in two different keys in a concert. I have tuned this one to the key of D by raising the F and C strings to F# and C#.The sound is gorgeous (with great sustain), but even more impressive, the strings settled really quickly. My other lyre took a couple of weeks to settle, and I'm not sure if it had to do with the weather and/or the fact that I just understand the instrument better now, but I was able to get it to stay in tune and long enough on the first day to play some chords to accompany myself singing, and on subsequent days it stayed in tune with itself pretty well and just needed a bit of adjusting. On the second or third day, only 1/3 of the strings were a tiny bit flat and the other ones were bang-on! I was astonished.I'm sure someone has mentioned this already in the reviews, but make sure that when you're tuning it, you turn it just a tiny tiny bit each time. Like barely exerting any pressure at all. You really have to be careful when you're tuning it. It'll seem a little crazy at first but it will settle and it's such a joy to play. For this price point, excellent value!PS:Just a quick edit to add that this model does not have the notes engraved. It's okay for me, since I bought it to tune to other keys anyway!

Youtube is a great resource for tips and tricks.
I really like this instrument. The sound is pleasant and calming, and it's very relaxing to play—especially as a beginner. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that the notes were not engraved above the strings, which was one of the main reasons I chose this particular product. I later found a note in the fine print of the listing that mentions some models may not include the engraving. While I understand that, I do wish that information had been made more prominent in the description. Overall, it's a beautiful and enjoyable instrument, but a bit more clarity in the listing would have made for a better experience.

Great value purchase - ideal for music beginners.
Great quality lyre and at a very good price. Instructions are simple to follow, and strings are easier to replace than it seems at first. Great purchase.

Beautiful
The harp is beautiful and exactly as shown in the ad. I also bought a separate book on how to play and tune the lyre/harp.I look forward to learning to play this.BTW, I had bought a seven string lyre/harp from the same company, but there are not enough strings to play much of anything. Nice to look at, though. Frankly, I wouldn't have bought a seven string had I known how useless it is for playing.
