Alchemic by Davines Tobacco Conditioner 250 ml (Pack of 1)

I got a few samples of this product from my stylist and was hooked. My hair is so soft and shiny and the color has lasted longer than usual.

I have natural hair and wanted to brighten up my red highlights and make some grey hairs less noticeable. Unlike the other color depositing conditioner I’ve used, this one saturates evenly and produces a very natural looking color. Unless you’re going for an Ariel look, you WANT the pigment to look subtle. Nobody notices I’ve done anything, but I keep getting compliments that my hair looks nice.

I went from bleach blonde to blue, to bleached then brown, and my hair has had trouble holding on to color. I needed a color depositor for a natural brown, with no blue undertones. This product had exactly that in the Tobacco shade.The conditioner is rich and easy to apply, and has my brown staying brown - no weird blue-green peeking through. (Blue molecules are REALLY hard to remove from the hair shaft.)The only downside for me is the smell. It gags me all day long. It smells like really strong baby powder scented deodorant. Gives me a headache by midday. I'll finish using this tub, but will have to find something new once its gone, which is a shame because it checks all the other boxes. I didn't see a review for Tobacco with a picture on here, so thought I should share.

I am not sure if this is counterfeit, or just a strange manufacturing fluke. This is supposed to be the brown conditioner, but it looks identical to my copper version (which is quite orange). I don’t open it until after the return window had closed, so now I am stuck with it. Concern about authenticity, so won’t be purchasing again.
