Not bad for the money
Pretty solid motherboard with plenty of current feature support. M.2 heat sink actually made a noticeable difference on drive temps.Cpu is also pretty solid. One downside is it tends to run hot and sucks up power even without any overclocking. Be sure to get adequate cooling if you do lots of cpu dependent tasks. If you’re gaming go for the 7800X3D for equal if not cheaper.

Great desktop upgrade
This is a very good motherboard and CPU combo. Installation was easy. I used my old SSD with windows 10 already installed. Because I had upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7, I had to buy another Windows 10 key. When I checked Windows 11 compatibility, it told me that I needed to have secure boot turned on. I had to run MBR2GPT to convert how windows boots before I could disable CSM in the Bios. Google this if you run into this problem. My computer is now ready for Windows 11. This combo with 16 gigabytes memory now boots up in about ten seconds. I don't game. This is a very fast office desktop now.

Discrete Graphics Card Required
I purchased the INLAND AMD Ryzen 5 5500 6-Core 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor Bundle with GIGABYTE B450M DS3H WiFi MATX AM4 Gaming Motherboard. Note that this CPU does NOT have onboard graphics, so you'll need a discrete graphics card to get it working. When I purchased it the page here was saying on-board graphics was a feature, but it seems to have been updated to remove that. If you try installing it with no graphics card you will get a beep code with 1 long followed by 2 short beeps, and it will fail to POST.It's working now with the GEFORCE 1070 refurbished graphics card I purchased. It's probably overkill for how I'll use the system, but it works, and I'm satisfied with that.Kudos to Jeff at the Microcenter support line. Very helpful and knowledgeable. But I had to wait a bit in the queue.
