Best Print Kit Type I've Used!
Here's my pro's and con's for this kit, but overall I would give it 5 stars as it really is an excellent kit!CON'S: My 4.5 month old boy wears size 6-9 month clothes. His foot only *just* fit on the ink pad, at an angle, and his hand was almost too broad for it, so I couldn't get great prints. It would be great if the ink pad was made bigger. You really only get one shot at a good print, as it doesn't work too well when you use the inkpad a second time. See my photos of the prints - the hand and foot on the left were the 2nd trys and you can see a shadow of the first try in it where there isn't enough ink.PRO'S: if you used these with a smaller baby, where their hands and feet would fit into the ink pad, they would be excellent. I have tried other print and casting kits and this one is by far the best type I've tried. The baby doesn't touch the ink at all, which I love - much better than the 'wipe' type of kits which I didn't like putting onto my baby's skin.It is easy to use. I did it whilst my boy was asleep as the instructions suggested so that I could get his hand to open. You just put the ink pad (which is like a thin skin stretched over cardboard with a thin layer of ink on the underside) over the card to print on and press baby's hand & foot into the non-ink side and it's done. It took me about 5 minutes to get all 4 prints. It is much better quality than I expected. The kit comes in a nice box, so would be great as a gift. The frame is great quality and will look nice once all assembled. You could even personalise it yourself with it being white and chunky. The photo opening I measured to be 8.5cm x 10.7cm.I can't wait to get this all assembled and on display! It was delivered safe the next day and I would say it is worth the price. I would buy more for the future to log my baby's growth, but it wouldn't fit with the ink pads being small unfortunately.

Perfect no mess baby prints
I absolutely loved this! We bought it to take a hand and footprint of our new baby girl and they came out beautifully! It didn't use a wet ink pad so it was completely mess free. It also came with a couple of spare pieces of cardboard which was great as my baby moved the first time round so it smudged a little bit. The frame was lovely and looks great on our mantle. The price was very reasonable too. I would highly recommend.

Cute!
Really easy to use and mess free as advertised! Just wish it came with more card as a scrunched up baby hand isn’t the easiest to print! Would recommend though, it’s made the perfect gift for Great Grandma.

Makes for an amazing gift.
I got this and printed my nieces hands and put her picture in the frame as well and it made the perfect gift on Mothers day. It's very easy to use and there is no mess to clear up after. If you want to do feet I think you can use this from birth it would work just fine but the baby has to be at least 4-6 moths old for you to be able to use it properly. When they are really small, their hands has usually clenched up and its not easy get their little fingers to move so either wait till they are old enough or just use it for their feet.If they are old enough, best time to do the print is when they are asleep. if you have other card or paper you can get a few more prints out of the ink that's comes with this item. I only used it once and then I kept the plastic because it had the impression of her hands perfectly.Enjoy the process and the final print.I hope this was helpful.

Lovely memory
Pros:- Good quality frame- The ink pads are mess free- Quite a few pieces of paper are included (I think 6)Cons:- there can be no movement as you take off or put on the foot or hand as it causes smudging- it’s basicaly impossible to get a hand print from a little baby as hands are still scrunched up (well we couldn’t at all but we got two lovely foot prints)- it would have been nice to have more of the paper as even using both side of all that is included we still found it wasn’t quite enough due to smudgesOverall a lovely item, the issues that we had with getting hand prints and problems with smudging is in no way this products fault and you would get it with any and all others; it was to do with trying to take prints from a little baby who naturally scrunch their hands up.We are planning on rebuying this item on a regular basis to record our baby’s hand and foot size.

Lovely little keepsake
I've been really surprised by this. Initially I just wanted a little kit to take some newborn keepsake hand and footprints, but it's become a bit of a gift staple. I've since bought three more as shower gifts, and every single one has come in perfect condition.Sometimes white frames can be dodgy and have gaps in corners. Not these. Came in a nice blue box, the frame inside wrapped in bubble wrap, so no chips or marks. Came with a couple of ink pads.I would suggest taking the prints when baby is asleep. We also needed two of us, one to hold the ink pad and paper still, the other to press the hand or foot. Very pleased with the print results. We only got two prints from each pad. Any more than that and you begin to get former prints coming through on new ones. Also keep in mind the ink takes about 48 hours to dry enough to put in the frame without smearing or transfer. Not a gift to create in a rush.I bought the old version with three apertures. Not quite a 6x4 photo aperture, I did need to trim my photo a tiny bit but not a problem.Would recommend.
