Standard, good disks, Very suitable for my NAS.

I am using this HDD as a backup on my old server machine. Actually, I was planning to buy one with a much higher capacity; but was forced to limit myself to 3TB; as this was the max capacity per HDD supported by the server. Hassle free installation (Use GPT for drives larger than 2TB) and good read/write speeds. Overall very satisfied.

hard drives work beautifully

Works as it says on the tin (drive)I use in a Synology NAS. No problem. But..... cheaper in the UK.

Though I purchased this HDD in 6th Nov 2018 and it says on the site it has 3 yr warranty, WD claims there is no warranty for this disk and cannot replace it. Can the vendor help

Very good hard drive for NAS Box

Dyski ktore dostalem to WD30EFAX (SMR) zamiast WD30EFRX (CMR) jak w opisie! Dyski odeslane, czekam na zwrot pieniedzy.

I purchased two of the 3TB drives and one of the 2TB drives. When I went into WDIDLE3 the setting for all three drives were set to 300 seconds (5 minutes). Since I was in there I simply disabled it. These drives are working flawlessly thus far as I have the two 3TB drives in a media center running Media Browser 3, PlayOn, and a few other apps. The 2TB drive is hooked up to a Dish Network Hopper as a secondary storage. I have not experienced any issues so far with these drive. Après plus de 10 mois d'utilisation continue (7752 heures sans discontinuer au moment où j'écris ce commentaire!) je peux partager mon avis concernant ces disques.J'utilise 4 disques WD Red de 3To dans un serveur NAS 4 baies Thecus 4800 configuré en RAID5 dont 1 spare. J'utilise depuis plus longtemps un serveur Thecus 4100Pro avec des disques Seagate Barracuda de 1,5To et la différence est très nette.ENORME DIFFERENCE! - Ils ne chauffent pas (à peine 32°C au grand maximum) - Ils consomment moins - Ils sont silencieux - Aucun secteur réalloué sur aucun des disques.En comparaison, mes autres disques dans une grappe RAID5, tout aussi bien - voire mieux - ventilés chauffent plus (ils ont déjà frôlé les 50°C), font plus de bruit et consomment plus de courant. Et surtout ils affichent entre 5 et 23 secteurs réalloués donc ils sont à remplacer!La performance est au RDV : j'atteins plus de 110Mo/s de débit de transfert soutenu vers le NAS en passant par un réseau Gigabit.Je suis très satisfait des quelques euros supplémentaires investis dans ces disques pour une utilisation dans un NAS. Je me tournerai vers cette série pour remplacer mes disques Seagate qui montrent des signes de faiblesse.

These WD RED drives are fantastic and very reliable. I still have 4 drives in my Synology 411+II. 2Gb each. I bought them back in 2002. Been running non-stop since. I am impressed! What does not impress me is how I cannot buy 4xWD RED 3TB from Amazon all at the same time. You have to buy one each week. If I buy a Synology 1819+, I cannot buy 8 WD RED drives. I would have to buy them over an 8 week period. This is plain stupid as these are NAS drives. Most customers would like to buy multiple drives to populate their NAS. Disappointing.

Apenas tengo un par de meses con estos discos; compre dos para ponerlos en un arreglo RAID, llegaron en una caja, con un embalaje que los protejia perfectamente. Lo tengo instalados en un caja RAID de la marca TERRAMASTER y funciona muy bien.Si hubiera alguna falla lo escribire, porque ha pasado muy poco tiempo, pero tengo fe en que saldran bien, ya que tengo un par de disco WD pero de la linea azul, tambien en RAID y llevan varios años y sin dar ningun problema.
