I3-3220 3.3GHz Review
The best budget CPU on the market? This is a perfect bit of kit for someone looking to game on a moderate level, there are some games that are taking advantage of the 4 cores the i5's have to offer such as BF3 but most still looking at duel cores really. This cpu, for the price, gives a good 'bang for buck' it is fast, stays cool and is cheap.I am running:i3-3220 3.3Ghz w/ stock cooler4GB Corsair RAMGigabyte HD 7770 1GBMSI motherboard500GB Seagate430w corsair cx430.All wrapped in a Fractal design core 1000.Cheep system all in all about £360, and I have had far cry 3 running on ultimate at about 50FPS, minecraft with highest setting about 70-100FPS. So this is what you are looking at from this cpu in a budget build it is a very nice bit of kit and worth the price most defiantly. Sorry I can not provide any other benchmarks for more popular games, haven't played any others yet.If you are looking to pick this one up I suggest it highly, out performs my friends £700 pre-built system he got about 1 year ago, but that's because it is pre-built and you always get ripped off, haha!

Great CPU
A great CPU with plenty of processing power for the everyday user. Comes at a great price and has no problems dealing with photo editing, streaming movies and playing games.NOTE: If your thinking of getting a CPU for basic use then dont go lower than this as anything older will simply become redundant as technology is evolving rapidly. This is the new gen at a good price

Very happy with the performance of this relatively cheap CPU
I bought this to go with an Asus P8H61-MX USB3 motherboard as a replacement for a dead ABit AN8-32X motherboard on my children's computer (one of my old cast-offs), and coupled it with 8 GB of Crucial DDR3 PC3-12800 RAM (2x 4 GB sticks). Putting that in the carcass of the dead machine (which was running Fedora Linux) resurrected it and resulted in a very respectable machine for an upgrade cost of under £200. Needless to say I was very happy with the result and it runs faster than I'd expected (my usual machine is an i7). My son no longer pesters me to use my machine because his own is too slow.

TERRIBLE. DO NOT BUY.
So I bought this CPU to put into my new rig. So I unboxed it and out came a potato. I attempted to fit it into my motherboard but it wouldn't fit, so I taped it on and added super glue to the heat sink. I turned the PC on and it literally gave me about 1 fps in bf4 with my two 780ti's. Would defo not recommend.

Great for budget PCs
Bought this as part of a kit for my parents' new computer. The i3 is a powerful processor and perfect for home use. If you're into gaming then upgrading to an i5 is recommended (i7 if you have the cash and want to squeeze more performance), but for everyday use you cannot beat the value of this chip. Also it comes with its own heatsink and fan, with thermal paste applied.

Fantastic little CPU
Cheap and low power, yet it packs a punch! The perfect CPU for a budget SFF build? This is(was) it! Haswell is obviously the one to get now, but if you can pick up a second hand one for 50 quid, go for it! I used this for gaming with a 7850 and it coped 100%. Recently upgraded to a i5 and 760 because I'm doing music production and needed extra horsepower.
