Fantastic aid for musicians
I bought this mainly for reading sheet music plus tuition software like Tomplay and Yousician. I purchased a Bluetooth page turning pedal at the same time. Reading music on PDFs or ebook formats is great, and using PDFgear I can use the included pen to annotate a score without paying an expensive subscription. The screen is excellent, lovely and clear without hurting your eyes.So far it has exceeded my expectations, especially at the price point, almost half the price of a second hand apple or Samsung. The speakers are a little tinnie but I pair the tablet via Bluetooth to headphones or my Roland E-drums so not bothered by that. Battery life is very good and youtube and other videos perform well, no obvious lag.I no longer have reams of music fighting to fall of my desk or escape my music case, most of my sheet music is in electronic format and turning pages is easy, no messing with pegs or elastic. I'm going to check out Songbook Pro next and hopefully get the last few bits of music converted into electronic format.

Great for reading sheet music
This is the best tablet that I have found for reading sheet music. Using mobile sheets you can link two of these tablets together in book view. The size is ideal for sheet music and the response time is good. The screen has no glare and is comfortable to view for long periods without flicker. Ideal for my purposes. The sound quality is not great but then if you want a capable tablet for music reading, note taking, internet use and basic admin tasks, then this works perfectly at a sensible price point. The unit I received was supposed to be 'good as new' but was missing the charger and pen holder on arrival.

When size matters
I recently purchased the TCL NXTPAPER 14 in Grey, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations! The design is sleek and stylish, with a premium feel to the grey finish. The NXTPAPER display is absolutely stunning — it offers an incredibly clear, paper-like experience that is easy on the eyes, even after hours of use. Whether I’m reading, browsing, or drawing, the visual quality is impressive. The included T Pen is highly responsive, providing a smooth writing and drawing experience, making it perfect for note-taking or digital art. The case is a thoughtful addition, offering both protection and practicality, without adding too much bulk. The battery life is fantastic, easily lasting throughout my entire day without needing a charge. Overall, the TCL NXTPAPER 14 is an amazing device that blends functionality, aesthetics, and performance. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile and user-friendly tablet!

ULTIMATE COMIC READER!
I have owned Apple iPad pro models for reading comics and they are poor compared to this device. Massive matte screen that makes reading comics a real pleasure. The colours pop and jump off the page / screen and the pad is lightweight to hold and read. The fact that you get a pen and a case included is incredible. Video playback is fantastic and the speakers are loud. This has to be one of the best value for money pads on the planet.

Nice display...but big for a tablet
We got this for our for Christmas during the Black Friday sales. It's a great tablet and comes with a pen and case. Feature wise, the 3 display modes are a gimmick and we've never changed our of the standard display mode. It's a great size, but be warned, it's too big to hold and use. Luckily, the case acts as a stand, which works nicely on the floor or at the table. The stylus works and is fairly responsive. Not immediate, but acceptable for beginners.Overall, a good tablet of you can get it at a good price. But I wouldnt think this is worth the rrp. If it wasn't on sale, I would have been looking at the Lenovo p series instead.

I was not sent this for review :)
I am delighted to leave a review for this item. I was fortunate to pick this up on a Black Friday deal at £229.99. Wow - this is a great tablet for the money. The screen is a work of art, being non reflective and although not a full 4k resolution like some other much more expensive tablets, it holds its own at 2.4K and does not disappoint in terms of superb colour and sharpness. To be honest I did wonder if it was going to be any good, being so cheap (at the time of writing this review it has gone up to £299 but is still a great price). In reality I am blown away. When you consider the Samsung S10 Ultra (similar size and with the non reflective screen) is north of £1100 then that makes this purchase even more of a result.Oh yes and this tablet also come with a nice adjustable angle stand and TCL's own pen, which works perfectly. Take note, Apple, Samsung, etc..... This is the way to do it.If I had to make a slight negative that would be that the audio, whilst being crisp and LOUD, is a little underwhelming in the bass department. However, the sound through bluetooth is amazing. Otherwise don't hang about. I recommend this tablet without hesitation.

Avoid.
I bought the TCL NXT 14 after my Samsung tab S7+ battery died and was unable to charge. Greedy for a larger screen and value price tag, i get what I pay for, less than a few days of use and the screen becomes unresponsive with fuzzy grey patches. Another issue is the refresh rate, may have been spoilt by the samsung, but 60hz frame rate makes scrolling look slugging and jittery. Have requested a refund, just waiting for UPS to schedule a day to pick it up.
