No way of knowing yet if it will turn out to be a good choice or not. It's for our 3 year old grandson for Christmas so he's not seen it yet. We opened it to test it but it had to have 3 AA batteries which weren't included. However once we did test it, it seemed to work well and be simple to use. Reviews said sound was very clear, I thought it was a little muffled but its for play not for real use by soldiers or spies so should be fine for a little boy! We tried it with one of us upstairs, one downstairs and it worked perfectly. Good size for little hands to hold and dinosaur logo and he's obsessed with dinosaurs! Gift for grandson's birthday , as shown on box. Good product, box a bit battered which was a bit disappointing as it was a gift but managed to tidy up.
