Great value if you're not looking to go mechanical
I want to preface this by saying the 5 star rating is in comparison to other similar keyboards. This isn't a mechanical keyboard and it doesn't claim to be, so I'm not comparing as such.I write for a living--some weeks I might pull 25,000 words depending on what's going on. After going through a number of cheap Logitech keyboards over the course of a couple years, I picked up a mechanical. Then, my mechanical was having some issues and I needed to replace it but it wasn't in the budget. I needed something cheap that would put up with regular use and figured I could toss in a bag if I was going somewhere and didn't want to use my laptop keyboard.I'm glad I picked this one. It sees far more use than I ever intended and it's held up like a champ. After a few months of regular use, the keys still have their lettering, they're all still responsive and more importantly, I've had zero problems with hand cramps or wrist pain.Unlike many basic budget keyboards, the key layout on this one is fairly untouched, while still making room for media controls. There's not a ton of hotkeys, but the ones there are actually useful.I enjoy the feel of the keys. They're not mushy like a membrane keyboard but aren't nearly as tactile as my favorite Cherry Blues. For the price, the typing experience is stellar. This isn't a quiet keyboard by any stretch, but it's also a far cry from the clickety-clack of a mechanical. I can still pick up keystrokes when recording with my headset mic, but it's a background noise and no intrusive on the audio side. One issue I could see if-if you're not happy with the angle of the keyboard. It's not adjustable in any way, but fortunately for me, it's a great fit for my normal typing angle. The grippy sections have no trouble keeping the keyboard firmly planted on my glass top desk either..Very happy with my purchase and will likely pick up a spare to have around just in case.

Decent Chiclet Keyboard For A Good Price
I was skeptical about the "Basics" part in Amazon Basics.. But I was pleasantly surprised. They keyboard is great... not awesome, but great. The key travel is adequate and keys are sturdy.Unfortunately... the keys are smaller than the regular keyboard and have an unpleasantly large gap between them. Personally I would have preferred to have larger keys with smaller gaps or islands. However, the keyboard works well after you use it for a while. The "extra" keys work well...especially the Sound Controls during a movie/song as the main system sound can be increased or lowered... not the player. In case you are looking for "Chiclet" or as it is called in India "Chocolate" keyboard go for it. The keys aren't silent but the tactile feedback is good. The USB Cord is long.. but slightly thin. Thankfully it appears sturdy.Strangely the keyboard has some semi-permanent flex.. Meaning you can slightly warp the keyboard and it stays that way.If you like my review, please vote-up

Excellent and cost effective Ergonomic SPLIT keyboard
This is a good nd cost effective split keyboard. Very ergonomical and can help prevent RSI. I bought it to replace my Microsoft SCUPLT keyboard (which I think is the best split keyboard ever made) Kindly note - this keyboard is for people who know how to properly type (with index fingers on F and on J characters)I love that it can connect to 3 devices with the press of a simple button. There is sufficient key travel and a very good and comfortable arch. Quality is fair for the price.I haven't used the mouse yet and don't plan to. I have the Logitech MX Vertical Wireless Mouse.

Exceeds expectations in all ways, highly recommended
The keyboard exceeds expectations in all ways.1. Premium looking keyboard - The piano finish looks premium, doesn't look like a Rs.599 keyboard at all. It's called Amazon Basics but it is not at all basic.2. Ergonomics - The key throw is very good, buttons are soft touch so you do not get aching fingers after long usage and the keyboard is neatly inclined & not too high which makes it very comfortable to use.3. Keys & size - It's a full keyboard, has volume adjust & video controls which is a bonus. I also miss the right click button on some keyboards which is very handy, you need not reach out to your mouse very often. You will appreciate the right click button & windows buttons on this keyboard. See attached image for size reference with laptop(15.6 inch) keyboard.3. It's spill proof and easy to clean which is a bonus. The keyboard is very sleek and can be tucked away easily.4. Price - The best part is the price. Mrp says 1395 but got for 599 which is a sweet price for such a good keyboard.5. Frustration free packaging & next day Prime deliveryI wish Amazon makes a wireless version with the same design, too many cables on my desk right now.I got this keyboard for 599 which is a steal deal for this one, I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for a comfortable keyboard for long typing/coding/blogging usage.
