Nokia 6300 - All Black Edition (Unlocked to all networks)

this is my favourite phone either black or sliver cover i just love it, its a simple phone which you can put in a 2gb memory card and put your own ring tone and wallpaper on and the reason i love it is because its easy to use and i have no need to use the internet on it even though you can im not interested in using it for music i know people like the touch screen phones but i can text quite quickly on this phone i cant on the touch screen ones and no one is going to mug you for it. the camera takes decent pictures too. i have had different basic phones but i like the layout of this phone and when my phones goes i will buy another nokia 6300 but i know they are becoming hard to come by now because of the newer phones, so i'm going to get a spare one. for the technical specs just look it up, its the best of the basic phones.

Light, easy to use, with built-in camera, ability to play JAVA games, play songs in MP3 format, 3GP videos - we all know those assets of this phone. Plus, reasonable price and nice touch and look. Quite resistant on accidents (yet screen gets some scratches and marks after time, still this is typical for most - if not all - mobile phones of this generation). Cons? Volume of conversation can drive one mad, especially on loud and busy street. Maybe years of listening to heavy metal made me a bit deaf, but to get clear sound while calling or receiving call, I need to be in almost totaly quiet room. Same with voicemails. Second thing are both ports - for charging and headphones entry. Latter got damaged after a month (even if headphones are in, sound still goes outside, not inside of them - pressing and holding them doesn't help a bit). I tried to find alternative headphones than provided by Nokia, checked mobile users forums for solution - I ain't going to try to bend some metal inside this port, there's no adapter-jack for usual size of headphones, so thanks but no thanks this time, Scandinavians! :/. Charging can also be a pain in the bum, as charger's pin is tiny and it has tendency to disconnect easily (I use some small stones or notebook to hold it firmer, but still...). Apart from this, great product.

Received in good time phone in perfect condition, only thing that wasnt right was phone was set up for Virgin mobile and took quite a bit of sorting to get on my network ( o2 )

I have had the Nokia 6300 in the past so I am aware of exactly how this phone should be. When it arrived I knew instantly that this was infact a re-conditioned phone I had been sent with a PLASTIC backing and front facia instead of it's original casing of what should be METAL. Straight away the back casing kept coming loose and falling off so I rung the Seller how then sent the original metal backing that should have been on there in the first place - the backing then fitted properly.However, the front plastic facia was not accurately matched up with the holes of the phone's connections e.g. hole for charging and earphones etc - this is another tell-tale sign that the phone was re-conditioned with a cheap plastic facia rather than the original metal one.Absolutely no where in the Seller's product description was it made known that this was a cheap re-furbished phone at the full original RRP price! I was no at all surprised when the numbers/lettering on each key wore off in no time and the phone itself died of death months later. EXPENSIVE MISTAKE. OBVIOUSLY GOT RIPPED OFF BY THIS SELLER WHO SELLS RE-FIRBISHED GOODS AS DESCRIBED ORIGINAL ONES. AMAZON GET RID OF THIS SELLER - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

phone was broke in 3 days wont buy again

I bought this brilliant phone for my husband to replace his first Nokia 6300. The phone had been used for many years with no problems and was replaced only because the back cover had cracked.The Nokia 6300 is ideal for anyone who needs a good quality, simple, uncomplicated mobile phone to use for phone calls and text messages. It works very well, it looks and feels great and is simple to use. It arrived very quickly and worked straight out of the box

I needed a new phone, not a cmplicated android, because I only use it for phoning and texting.I use it in Spain and was delighted when I put my Hits sim in and it works fine. Nice to use and easy (for me anyway)

OK I had not realised that you needed to set up the settings and this was why I was getting the weird languages and it not saving texts but the EXCELLENT emails support sorted it out within 24 hours so cannot rate them highly enough and the friend whom I bought the phone for is delighted as this has been the only handset she has been able to use. At last I can ring and text her and she gets my messages and calls. Thanks for your patience!!
