I use this oil in my 1975 Yamaha XS650B. The engine seems very happy with it. I dont ride the bike much, she only has 2500 miles on the clock because the bike is more a showpiece than a rider and is still 100% correct. Engine has no leaks but does have slight seepage at the base gasket do to age I imagine. I recommend this Yamalube for your vintage Yamaha.

First off, I had to give Flavor 5 stars because Yamalube has that clean finish at about 105°F. However, a wise, cult-followed very brilliant ex-factory mechanic once said "you run Yamalube or spend twice as much and run Mobil 1. Either way, your good. Dont f*** with engine oil in a bike, you aren't a f***ing engineer from Japan!" And upon asking around, Kevin was correct. If you came from NE OH, you know the man and his character. Kevin was a man of few words and fewer smiles but what he preached was godspell.Having said that, it's going in my 1200 Custom.Yamalube is great stuff and meets most all oil specs that half of what you all run in your bikes does not meet. Words to ponder.

Works great for my old 1980 Yamaha XS1100! I’ve been using this for cleaning engine and carburetor too!
