I will begin by saying that I live in Alaska so I need a good pair of boots that are durable and warm. When I noticed that it was time for a new pair, of course I turned to the two big names in boots. I purchased a pair due to name recognition even though they were very pricey! When I tried to wear them, they were so tight around my calf that I couldn't stand to keep them on! And getting them off was a struggle! So I searched and searched for an alternative. At long last, I came across the Western Chief boots here on Amazon. They were significantly cheaper than the better-known brands and they are an American company who seems to care about people. They are proud of the charitable work they do. So I figured I would give the Western Chief boots a go. I could not be more pleased! These boots are tough and rugged. They keep my feet warm during the hour-long walks I take with my dog in the Alaska winter cold! And best of all, they don't feel like they are cutting off the circulation in my legs! They slip on and off without a struggle! I am so excited to have found such a great pair of boots for such a great price that I let all the family know at Christmas that the next time they are needing to purchase boots, they need to buy Western Chiefs! These boots get the AK seal of approval! Buy them and you will NOT be sorry!

These are well made. Perfect fit. A little heavy but not extremely so. Waterproof and warm. Makes working outside so much more comfortable. Nice bottom lug for good traction. I'd recommend and I would buy again.

Love these. Definitely warm in 20 below with decent winter socks on. Haven't used in colder weather. Kinda wish the bottom had a bit more of a cushion insole. No leakage or stresstears. Overall, decent boots. Kept me warm in the winter.

So far 5 stars. The only dislike I had before ordering was the lack of half sizes, I normally wear an 8.5 but the store only had size 9 which was too big, so I took a chance and ordered the 8. They fit comfortably, I'll update after having them for more than an hour lol*UPDATE* So I've had them for longer than an hour and all ican say is WOW! I'm so in love with these my feet are staying warm and dry but not too warm to where my feet are pouring sweat, my previous pair of a different brand my heel felt like it's sat lower than the ball of my feet which was very uncomfortable, these boots do NOT have this problem at all! My only complaint is that if I'm wearing pants or even leggings that have a seam on the inside they tend to push that against my ankle bone I don't know if that's something that can be avoided though.

I love these boots!! They’re cushioned and so warm. They’re perfect for shoveling snow or doing yard work in the winter. Probably the best footwear purchase I’ve ever made. I will definitely be getting an extra pair in the future.

Only had these 5 months and only wore them on rainy/muddy days. Already leaking at the toe seam. They’re light on your feet but don’t have much cushioning in the sole. So not good if you’re on concrete a lot. Can’t return now but would not purchase again.

Love the heavy duty traction on the bottom. I purchased these for farm chores and snow play for my 11 year old. No complaints of cold feet. They are a heavy boot, but have held up with rough wear and tear on the farm. After my Bogs wear out, I am going to buy a pair for myself. Can't beat the price!

These are working out great for me. Granted I haven't worn them under prob 35 degrees and even then I was inside a garage not in mud or whatever but my feet do not even remotely get cold.I'm used to heavy mud boots so they seem normal to me, I think someone mentioned them being clunky or heavy but not an issue here at all.For now they're awesome and I hope they last a long time.
