We've now had our Ouaken 4 liter composter about six weeks and it has exceeded our expectations. We maintain about 50 house plants, a 300 sq ft vegetable garden and significant patches of pollinator gardens and flower beds. We are generating about one cubic foot of compost a week and are thrilled with the quality of compost we are generating. Our experience is that the sales videos are exactly what we've seen. No hype that you can't achieve. The machine is very quiet. If your compost product after a cycle is too moist, stop the cycle half way through and wipe the condensation from the lid. An added bonus for me is I enjoy walking past the machine and looking through the glass window lid and watching the material mixing. The size is perfect for a household of two. We only had one smelly batch that included meat products, so we limit our source material to plant based products supplemented with shredded paper. A larger would be nice if available. I can't say enough about the Ouaken composter.

Easy to use, simple set up, nooooo flies!, no smells! Family of 3 - perfect size. Works great from Day 1 to over Day 365 now. Minor problem, panicked & contacted Customer Service. Wasn’t treated like an idiot - tho I was one. So, kudos to them too.

I'm new to composting and was eager to get started. I was originally concerned about the size and the possible odor but no longer have concerns. The machine fits well on my counter and I run the machine soon after putting our food scraps in. It is such a simple process. We recently had a large family occasion and it was used quite often with great results.

I love this kitchen composter. I’ve only gotten it this week and have used it twice on Crush and the end result was wonderful. Dry, small, perfect to work into potting mix or garden soil. No smell, unit is extremely quiet. Looks good in my kitchen and doesn’t take up much room. It is very well made. Now, the CONS: the directions could be better. It’s somewhat vague on what the blinking buttons might mean. So it is hard for me to understand how to troubleshoot. There isn’t a YouTube tutorial by a user to help. The company’s video doesn’t help. Also, they are vague on where to get replacement charcoal filters for when the time comes. I think it says use a filter 4mm but that doesn’t compute with generic filters when I looked. Also there are no directions on how to change the filter

I absolutely love this electric composter. I had bought another brand before that was supposed to be “the best affordable one”… but this one is far superior. It’s super easy to use and is 4 liters.It makes great soil.

Works great and looks good. I have it in my bread cabinet while not in use, but it could easily sit on the counter in plain sight since it looks attractive. I have run it through both cycles and have used the contents to mix with my dirt for my planters. There is no discernable smell, good size for a small family, and it's easy to clean.

I really like the ease of putting scraps in it to do compost for my garden. The machine is so quiet, no smells either. I'm ready to do a lot of composting.

I purchased the food composter with high hopes. I was frustrated with the directions and needed help with the finicky programming. I reached out for customer support via email and I had great success with Grace who helped me. When the machine was working, it produced great compost that helped my garden. The machine does seem to get jammed so a bit of pre-chopping is needed. Five stars for the help.
