TAMAGOGANI Crunchy Dried Crab Snack, 2.11oz, Japan

I was interested in trying these because I saw them on TikTok. I absolutely love crabs and seafood, so if you’re in the same boat…allow me to break down my experience.Upon opening the bag, it smelled like straight “low tide”. Horribly fishy and unpleasant. Another comparison my brain made was to fish food! If you’ve ever owned a fish and fed them those little papery flakes…Not something you’re dying to put in your mouth regardless.I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt so I bit into one. They tasted EXACTLY like they smell, and to my surprise…there was a sweet element that made them even more off putting. Almost like a solid candy coating?The super strong flavor lingered for awhile and I had to wash it down with a beverage, which still didn’t completely relieve the flavor. I immediately checked to see if there was a return option, only to find that these were not eligible.I am not sure if this is traditionally how these snacks should taste? But if I haven’t ruined your curiosity completely, I’d say purchase at your own risk.
