Very good, useful and practical.
I had bought the medline emesis bags and hated them. The opening was narrow and bag was almost transparent. This one, we loved. This had an absorbent pad, but in the instance of a larger throw up, you can securely tie it up. It is also easy to fold and carry with you. I just ordered a second set of these.I got this to help with Pre-Natal Nausea and sickness. I find this great for the following reasons:1. Wide open bag so no feeling of stuffiness or claustrophobic senses2. Open enough to be able to move head without being restrictive3. Opaque bag, I had the emesis bags but you could see things through and I didn’t want to throw up again after seeing what I threw up4. Absorbent pad is great, it helps to stabilize the waste without then swishing around5. Drawstring like a garbage bag is great. The emesis has notches into which you insert the bag, I didn’t like that.6. Easy to dispose, not very obvious. Imagine this is just another small trash bag with a pad, only is opaque. Compare it to other products where it is very very obvious on what the bag is for.We used this for two pregnancies. We have kept a few spare in the car for any possible future sicknesses. It’s a necessity with kiids. This bag is a great idea!

Low-Cost, Quality Bags that can be Discretely Kept Close At-Hand
When we left the hospital after having our second child, I made sure to grab a few of the blue emesis bags to keep in our vehicles. Fortunately, we've never had to use them, but a few weeks ago, we felt the need to move one to the diaper bag, just in case. In that little bit of moving, the bag unfolded and simply can't be packed as tightly as it originally was. I decided there must a better solution, so I checked Amazon and sure enough, I found these.I haven't had the need to use these, but just handling them, I'm sure they will fit my needs better than the emesis bags. For starters, they are flat enough that I can store them in the seat pockets of the car (With the plastic ring, the emesis bags had to stay in the console). They are about 1/16 thick and 5" x 9", when folded in half. The plastic bag portion is made of plastic that is thicker than a quality kitchen trash can liner, but not quite as thick as a heavy-duty contractor's trash bag. I don't have any concerns about these tearing while stored in a seat pocket with books, headphones or any other non-sharp objects that might occasionally slide against these bags in either the seat pockets, or a diaper bag.At this point, I was going to say that I was too frugal to "waste" a bag by testing it; however, at less than a dollar/bag and 20 bags/box, I pressed pause on my review and headed for the kitchen. 1 1/2 cups of water and 1/2 cup of white vinegar went into the bag. No leaks, but the absorbency was not immediate. I left the bag in the sink, and when I checked on it 15 minutes later. I'd say nearly all of the water was absorbed. When I shook the bag, there was no sloshing whatsoever, but I wouldn't want to hold this thing upside-down either. The vinegar smell right down at the bag was still present, but much less intense. I pulled the draw strings tight and was satisfied with the durability of the bag to withstand a force-fully tight tie-off.Overall I'm confident these bags will do the job. With their thin profile and low cost per bag, I will not only be using them in the cars, but I will be strategically placing them around the house as well. Young kids can provide little to no warning before vomiting, and these cheap, simple bags can be discretely placed within reach in a lot of places.

Hold up well in car glovebox
I bought some more of these because they hold up well in our cars for many years, even with sitting in desert temps in the summer. We keep two or three of these in every car and bring them on the plane, just in case! Just had to use one of our old bags last week and it's still held everything.

Nice to have on hand. Much better than the clean up!
These bags are larger than I expected. I am not sure why I was expecting something smaller. The pictures provided have a good visual on how large they are. I purchased one box. We now keep two in each car, I keep one folded up in my bathroom bag in my purse, one in my bathroom bag in my back pack and my husband keeps one in his backpack. No we are not sick that much, however one incident of my husband getting vertigo and getting sick in the car made us realize how much we would of liked to of had these before we had to clean it out. I like that these have a draw string to close. I love the idea of the absorbent pad. Even though this makes it a little harder to fold, I would rather it be in the bag for when in use. My parents have had to take long 8 hours car rides for medical trips and they use the vomit bags they get from the hospital they go to. The ones from the hospital have no way of closing them except for someone holding it closed. I find these Carebags to be much more functional. Luckily we have not had to use them yet, but it is good peace of mind knowing that I have them on hand. I like that I can carry it in my bag/purse in case I am in someone else's car or home. I know where to go! I do wish they were a bit smaller however once we use them I may be very glad they are the size they are.

Emesis bags
I sadly need these every so often - with migraines and other stuff. They work every well. They pull closed tightly. You get a box of 20. I much prefer these to the bags they have at the hospital with the hard plastic rings. These bags can be discretely put in your glove box, purse.
