Reliable, Clear, and Rider-Friendly – Great for Long Trips
The media could not be loaded. I installed the Spedal CL871 on my motorcycle and recently took it on a 5-hour trip through dusty roads and light rain—it held up perfectly. The screen stayed clear and responsive the entire time, with no issues from the weather or debris. It’s IP67 rated, and I can confidently say it lives up to that. The 6.25” screen is surprisingly easy to see in direct sunlight, and the auto-brightness feature adjusts well to different lighting conditions. Touch response is smooth and accurate, even with gloves on.Connecting to my phone via Bluetooth was instant, and using CarPlay felt just as fast and seamless as in a car. Navigation, music, and voice commands all worked without a hitch.Overall, this device is a fantastic upgrade for any rider who wants a rugged, easy-to-use, and weather-resistant smart screen. It made my ride safer, easier, and way more enjoyable.

Neat Little System!
Got this and was a little intimidated by the installation process but after reviewing my circuit diagram setup was easy. I love the functionality of this device. it's an addition I should have added when I first got my bike. love the quad lock but exposing my phone to rain and such was always a bother. this being water resistant, I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up. mounting is firm and love the metal bracket its mounted on makes it feel sturdy. I recommend this product! i like the look of it.

Needs better product support for connection issue.
Installation was easy. The mounting ball is not a traditional size, I'd prefer a 25mm ball to be able to use it with RAM mounting products. The display is crisp and easy to read.It connects with CarPlay, but there are issues with the connection when trying to customize the apps that the product shows and to adjust the app order. The product disconnects when selecting it in the iPhone's CarPlay Settings. I've sent Spedal service an e-mail for help with the issue but they did not respond. A similar unit by another manufacturer that I've mounted in my car does not have an issue customizing the apps in the iPhone's settings.Update: It took 10 days for Spedal to respond. However, I'm still not happy with this unit. When I go to use my car's CarPlay system after using this one, my vehicle's unit is renamed and the apps are reset. Very strange behavior.

I just connected it to a 12 Volt switch and it works fine
I installed this the simple way. I just connected it to a 12 Volt switch that is connected to my battery. When I want it on, I hit the switch. It doesn't have a usb plug, but it's the simplest wiring imaginable.I wanted this for one simple thing. I want Android Auto on my favorite overland mini bike. I built that many bike specifically for exploration. I even made it street legal. This gives me Android Auto about as well or even better than most infotainment screens in cars that I've tried.Setting it up was not difficult at all. You can very easily connect it to a Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth helmet. Once you have Android Auto running, it's Android Auto. I mostly wanted Google Maps, and that works flawlessly here. The screen is a little bit small, but so is my mini bike. It's perfect for it. It has gotten quite a few times when I found myself a decent distance from my house on the mini bike. It still works just fine. All I've ever done is wipe it off.

Save your Phone; use this instead
CarPlay screen for motorcycle;Save your phone, use this screen instead. Having your phone on the handlebar is convenient, but also exposes it to rain, dust, incessant vibrations, and loads of direct sunlight. Keep your phone in your pocket and let this device do the "grunt work".Connection is straight forward with three wire connections. I would like to see a USB option, for those of us with a USB outlet on the cluster.Once connected, and ACC on, connect to CarPlay as you would anywhere else.Simple and direct install, literally replaces your phone's exposure while keeping full access.the full metal mounting bracket is robust.
