The tub you're looking for will have a molded port that holds your unit. Although, the function of the Ionic unit is not contingent on the tub. I was able to find all online but be aware the prices vary from $300 to $85 for the complete set up! If this is for personal use I would use any tub for starters. I initially needed to convey to my 85 year old Father the state of his health. The aftermath was so mind altering my MD Sister had to try it herself! At the end of the day you need to just put it to use and experience it's awesome effect! The biggest challenge we all encounter is resistance to change!

Would it b compatible with motorized foot spa?

I wasn’t able to use mine because it didn’t have any room for the ionic piece But if yours has about 4 inches of space between your feet it would work. I ended up using A tote which worked fine

Can I use the ion device in a heated foot bath? If so I wouldn't be able to use the tub liner as the water wouldn't be able to get in to the heater.
