Collector Edition
Great edition for a Classic horror game, a lot of things and the metal case is not fit for the CD, however it makes a great memorabilia for the Thing fans

Very happy
Love it personally. I understand some people's disappointment that the steelbook can't store the disc, but I don't mind because it gives the plastic case it comes in a purpose. All the items you get are cool, and the steelbook is still nice despite the lack of holding ability.

Deluxe Edition Steelbook Case Doesn't hold game disc, not worth $50
Deluxe Edition steelbook does not contain a disc holder inside. I thought this was a defect with my case, till I looked up unboxings online and realized everyone got these strange steelbooks, including Nintendo Switch copies.I reached out to Atari about this issue and haven't heard back yet. Amazon sent me a replacement copy but I doubt it will be any different, other than maybe less damaged outer box than my current order has on it (2nd pic)Overall, I should have just ordered the $30 standard edition, and I would advise other buyers to do the same, unless Atari corrects this strange useless steelbook case issue.UPDATE: Atari responded to my email and said this is the intended design of the steelbook and basically told me to eff off and deal with it. That's cool I guess, then I will take my money elsewhere in the future I guess.

Here's The Thing...Avoid This Version
This review is for the Special Edition of the game specifically. The game itself rocks: if you’ve never played it before, you’re in for a treat. But with that out of the way, let’s talk about the not-so-special edition from Limited Run Games (LRG).This version includes the standard edition of the game (which you can get on Amazon for nearly half the price), a folded poster, a steelbook case, two patches, and a plastic ID card of your in-game character. Now, about that steelbook: it’s completely useless. There’s no insert or interior tray to hold the game disc, so unless you enjoy the sound of a loose disc rattling around, it’s a no-go. The only real use for it is storing the ID card and patches...which at that point why is it even there?Worse, the exterior design looks cheap. The artwork feels slapped on as an afterthought, with none of the flair or finish you'd expect from a collector’s item. And here’s the kicker: the product is marketed in a way that strongly implies the steelbook is functional, which most people will reasonably assume. That feels shady. If you’re looking to own a physical copy of the remaster, do yourself a favor and stick with the standard version. In my opinion, this “special” edition misleads consumers and just isn’t worth the markup.

You can't put your game in the steel case and it would be cheaper to just by the standard
Great game and cool extra stuff but my biggest grip with this deluxe edition is the steel case and not being able put the game its like you missed the whole point of steel case case and just make it a cool but pointless product to have. When is should have been Like I have dead island 2 and cod bo4 steel case

Can't put game disc in steelbook
This would've been 5 stars but I have to knock a star off because the steelbook is only there to hold the collectibles that come with it. The steelbook can't hold the game disc in it, which really bums me out. This is the first steelbook I've ever seen that doesn't have somewhere to put the disc lol
