New KS2 English Targeted Practice Book

My son has an 'odd' pencil grip, which I only noticed during the original COVID lockdown. I have tried numerous grips to try to change it but with no luck. He finished Year 3 still not writing smoothly in school and was not anywhere near meeting age expectations because he found the actual physical process of writing laborious.We started using this book for just 10 minutes a day at the start of the summer holidays. We began by going over the joins which are at the beginning of the book. This repeated practice was useful and we used some of the letter joins to create words and sentences on regular lined paper.Within just 2 weeks, of not quite daily practice, he is now producing legible joined handwriting. He likes the short activities - although he often likes to do more than the 3 examples per word in the book. We are still using the guidelines in the book and he finds it helpful if I draw a line above the main line when using regular paper but this has been a useful book to help him make some real progress in not a lot of time!

I bought this book for my child to improve his handwriting, as he started to write no one can read only him himself ))))). As soon he start practicing he start to write beautiful better then before he did. By reading handwriting rules my son found his mistakes, why his handwriting was not good.I recommend this book to parents, I found really helpful!Thank you!

Starts with very easy joins, then gets harder and harder. Sentences are funny and my child completes every page with a smile on her face. Can be used multiple times if completed with pencil. My daughter's handwriting has already improved after one time of completing this workbook but she likes practicing again and again.

Really good book that helped with daughters writing. She enjoyed completing it.Amazed by how quick it made a difference to her hand writing.The homework set during lockdown just didn't improve her handwriting but this book did. Well worth the money.Shame it's quite short but for the money it's great.
