This tool functions as it should provided you know how to read the grains of the wood. You must go with the grain not against the grain or the tool will dig in. As well, you should take small amounts off at a time. Instructions on proper usage should be enclosed, this would be helpful.

Simple but works great. I finished my project earlier than I thought. I trimmed about half by hand it was difficult and much trouble. I used the trimmer on second half, done in a flash and done right.

Cuts very with the grain. Have to push hard against the grain. Have to be careful not to angle the tip as it easily gouges the veneer unless it is exactly straight.

Nice trimmer, works well, just watch how the grain of your edge banding (veneer) is running, to prevent it "digging in" to the banding. This is true for all such trimmers.I found it easy to use and quickly trimmed the edging on a 5" x 2" cabinet in less than 15 minutes. It took longer to iron on the edging than to trim it, and it was my first time for both.The blade is reversible, and should last a long time, considering the task it does. It looks like replacement blades are available.A good value.

I have a more expensive laminate trimmer, but this works just as well, is quicker, and is actually easier to handle. The blade is sharp and cuts well. I don't know how durable it is, but mine is still sharp after 50 ft of trimming.

Hasn’t been used yet. It was a Mother’s Day gift.My wife practically drooled when she saw what I got her.

The trimmer functions but the design causes it to cut into the top veneer/or surface. Also often leaves agroove cut on the adjacent side. I have been veneering furniture for over 30 years of experience and do notrecommend this tool!
