no it dosent. but it makes it easier to move . we just put plastic down . we have had ours about 3 years now. cover the sand so animals dont poop in it. also in the winter cover the whole thing. keeps the paint nicer. one winter we moved it into the garage and put beans in it and the kids loved to dig in there .

Q: How many bags of sand do i need?

We used about 4 or 5 bags of sand we got from Lowes. It seemed to fill it up nice and accounted for some of the sand that ended up out of the sandbox while they were playing. Also, I recommend getting the regular sand. The white sand does not blend in well with the ground around the sandbox when it gets spilled over.

Q: Could I fit a toddler bed in there? My son really loves boats

I don't think a toddler mattress would fit inside but a bunch of pillows might be fun. May be too wide for a mattress.
