Great right out of the case.
I don’t generally purchase guitars thru Amazon as I like going thru a music store to get a proper set up before I bring them home, I’ve wanted one of these for a while, and many retailers were out of stock or running the newer price ($1799 now as of this review). So I took the chance and jumped on one here. I also wanted to give it a more recent review for anyone else looking.nIt’s nice that it shipped in the hard case, although I’m sure I will have to replace it. For whatever reason, ESP cases use a really poor design on the handles, which seems to be their weakest point. This is my third ESP/Ltd guitar, so I can say this from experience.This guitar felt great right out of the box. No physical issues at all with it. It was out of tune, which is no surprise, but it was actually not to far out of tune, so I was able to give it a quick to and give it a short run.Action as it was set was spot on. Set low with no fret buzz anywhere. Tossed a battery in, and played it thru a Boss Katana Mk2 100/212 and a Positive Grid Spark40 just to check it out, and it sounded great. I’ll give it a go thru the half stack a bit later. Nice tone and sustain. The body does have a nice weight and balance to it.Overall I was very happy with this purchase and I’ll try to remember to give another review in about 6 months after it’s really been enjoyed.

Awesome Guitar
An amazing guitar. Stays perfectly in tune. Was well set up out of the box but the pickup height was a little high for me and the string height needed raised just a tad to get rid of a bit of string buzz. After that though. It was great. The springs on the tremelo can be adjusted without popping off the back cover through two holes that were cut in the back panel. The floating Trem was well balanced when I got it. I did need to give it a half turn to get it perfectly in tune. The annotation was almost perfecr except for the high E. Great guitar, sounds great. Strings that come on it are okay. Got it on sale for 200 off.

Be aware …. edited after having for a week or two
Ok for starters, I love this guitar, however there are some things I feel I should let others know.1. In the description it states the guitar has emg 81 , 60 combo pickups , strangely the pictures in the listing even show these pickups , the guitar ACTUALLY comes with kh-bone breakers Kirk hammets signature pickups , ( you can tell because the emg on the pickups is in green not white. it’s also listed on esps website. Not sure what that’s about2 this will need work out of the box. The strings from the factory are horrible, definitely needed swapped immediately, the Floyd rose wouldn’t hold a tuning and the factory set the action rather high. So as disappointing as it was waiting on back order to finally receive the guitar and then immediately have to send it to a tech for a setup, it needed done.This is my second hammet signature guitar. I also have the demonology and I can say they are great guitars, but plan on doing your Floyd rose Maintence, either on your own or sending it to a guitar tech.So if you are a beginner, or unfamiliar with Floyd rose bridges you may want to give this a second thought. The Floyd that’s on them is great once it set up properly but sadly that’s not the way they come from the factory.Edit … after sending this to the tech , and having a full set up done. This guitar plays top notch , sounds fantastic and stays in tune even after the most ridiculous dive bombs. The high fret access some of the best I’ve seen , and neck is super fast and very comfortable. I def recommend one of these , IF you don’t change tuning often , or have other guitars for your off tuninings and if you are familiar with maintaining a Floyd rose bridge , not a beginner guitar , but an Amazing instrument.

If your children love Kirk and Metallica like my son
The media could not be loaded. I bought this guitar for my 10 years old son a couple months ago. He loves the tone, the look. It stays in tune very well. He already used it to play One by Metallica at his recital. This guitar gives him motivation to practice and play more. If your children love Kirk and Metallica like my son, i would recommend this guitar.
