Nice shave

Let me start out this review by stating that I was shopping for a new beard trimmer because my Phillips Norelco trimmer died after about 10 years of use. Despite my good experience with Phillips, I wanted to shop around and see if there were any other good options out there for a better price. I actually tried another trimmer first, and there was noticeable tugging at my beard even when trimming just a couple days apart. Needless to say, that one had to be returned, and my search led me to this product. Despite the cheap price and the lack of reviews, I decided to give it a shot, and boy am I glad I did. This is the best trimmer I have ever owned, and it's not close. Previously with my Phillips, I'd have to go over a spot 2-3 times to get every hair trimmed. But with this trimmer, it only requires 1 pass, and it cuts through my beard like a hot knife through butter, no matter if I last trimmed it yesterday or a week ago. The battery seems good... I've owned this for about 2 months now and have only charged it once when I first got it. I shave about once a week, so I'd guess I've used this about 8-10 times and haven't noticed any decrease in battery strength yet.I do have 3 minor complaints, but they have nothing to do with the performance of the trimmer:1) There are only 4 trimmer length options. Normally I wouldn't care about this, however the length that I think would be ideal for a nicely trimmed beard is not available. The trimmer without any attachment trims it so close that you can barely see the remaining hair, and the 2mm attachment leaves the hair a little too long for my liking. I normally use it without any attachments, which lets me go longer without shaving, but it normally takes a day or two for my beard to get back to the length I like it.2) The stand it comes with is pretty flimsy. Not a deal breaker, but I was expecting something a little sturdier.3) The instructions say not to douse this in water. I have ignored this without any consequences so far, because cleaning with that little brush they give you would be so painful compared to just rinsing it off under the sink. It seems like as long as it's a quick rinse, it should be fine.None of these complaints are enough for me to dock this a star. This trimmer is still awesome. Don't be afraid of the relatively small number of reviews compared to the main brands. If you give this one a shot, you'll be happy you did!

Long charge

For the past 2 decades I've always had some little trimmer kit to clean up facial hair, lines in between haircuts and such. I've always preferred a small trimmer with the NORMAL 6-8 attachments (including the different size guards which I don't really use). The one I had for the past 5+ years was not working well so, I go on Amazon to buy a new one, which should have been a simple process. I never realized how difficult it would be to find a little simple trimmer kit, that comes with a stand so it's always charged and organized on my countertop...that did not come with 153 different head attachments! I can't think of any reason, even I was a daily "manscaper" or, anything else that requires 50 different head attachments and 40-50 different guards! I looked on Amazon for 2 days to find this one which was the most basic I could find but, the style (size and charging stand). I will say that I found it to be a little humorous that when it showed the different catagories for trimmers one was "Trimmer for Men Balls". There were plenty of them but, a normal trimmer was like trying to find a real life unicorn! And that one category of trimmers tells me one thing... There were so many people asking questions about trimmers that went like this "Will these trimmers work on my balls?" that it required it's own category! LOL Come on guys...hair is hair...did ya really have to ask???Back to these...I like it, it's nice and simple and does everything I need without having 140 different attachments that I will never use and end up throwing away as I'm opening the box, and having the charging stand is nice to keep it at the ready. I usually use mine at the last minute so, the idea of "I need to trim my beard a little" and then having to plug it in to a charger and wait just doesn't make sense. It is a little more bulky than my old one but, still small enough to easily handle and use. Head attachments really do click in place well, so well that the first time you change you will think you're going to break the head that you're trying to remove.

I've owned this trimmer for 1-1/2 years. I use it weekly and store it connected to the charger when not using it. It trims well and is easy to use. Initially I would have give the trimmer a much better rating but now, after just 1-1/2 years, the battery performance has become poor. The battery loses much of its charge/strength within about 1 minute of operation. The trainer doesn't stop working but the cutting speed drops quickly to a very frustratingly slow rate. I believe the battery should last for years more than the 1-1/2 years I got out of this one. I'm about to try replacing the battery cells. If I can't do that, then I buy a new trimmer of a different brand.

I just received this today and haven't trimmed my goatee for weeks. One reason was the cheaper one I used was falling apart and I used electrical tape to hold it together. This one is much better built with a much more powerful motor. It shaves closer and is easy to adjust with the adjustable shaving head. I haven't tried any of the other ones yet, but the one that was already on it worked great for my beard and the bare head shaved close enough for me. I already have a nose hair clipper so this is probably all I'll use. The package was crinkled like it was probably returned with some of the parts not sitting firm in the packaging. That will be fine if this unit works like this all the time, If not, I'll lower my 5 star review.
