Not for saltwater
Purchased this reel a year ago and that is about as long as it lasted. It is a very good reel, but I would say it is not for saltwater. I take good care of my equipment including desalting, rinsing, and oiling between uses. This outing, the reel became difficult to reel in and then final froze in the middle of a Cobia fight. Had to pull the line by hand to get the fish to the boat. If I had neglected the reel, not cleaning and maintenance the reel, then it would be on me. But that is not the case. Great reel for a year, fished it a dozen times, but not made for saltwater.

Good customer service
Very smooth and drag gets tight fast I had some issues with the anti reverse switch when fighting a giant stingray for 2 hours it was slipping everyone and a while I reached out to customer support and they are sending me a brand new one on the house great people over there definitely recommend this product

Love the reel and customer support is stellar
I don't care to explain how, but the drag knob was stripped (not a manufacturer defect), so I reached out to Dr. Fish and they are sending me a replacement. Thank you Tia! Fantastic customer service. My buddy thinks I might be overcompensating with this Long Shot 12000. I love it and look forward to dropping some bait offshore with a drone and seeing what might happen. Really like the reel and I can't speak highly enough about there customer service. Top notch.

Drag Broke
I've only used this reel a couple of times and i've only had it for about 6 months. The drag system just broke. You can flip the button either way but the reel just spins. I don't even know how it happened. I was just fishing and didn't even have a fish on when it broke.

Worth your money
Strong durable, heavy duty and can bring in some big fish with no problem. Best spinning reel I ever bought would buy it over and over again.
