Ergotron - Cadillac Model of bedside tablet holder
I have researched different options for laying in bed, on my back, looking up at my tablet to watch Hulu/Netflix etc before dozing off. I was having problems laying on my side too much... Anyway, I decided to go with the Cadillac version and bought an Ergotron model. I manage 500 plus computers and I use the Ergotron arms extensively so I know their quality and reliability. It works for me; very stable and sturdy. One star less because my issues were I needed to have ability to raise it higher away from my eyes without having it to move toward my headboard. Seems one of the rigid angles needed an adjustable feature. (Moving your tablet closer to the headboard means more eye strain looking up toward your eyebrows...). I compensated by utilizing the ample length of the squared bolt to add an additional height to the arm on the headboard.. One of the cable management holders broke first day but was not a show stopper. The only other issue is that it barely holds onto my older very thick and long Toshiba Thrive. It does hold and hasn't fallen yet but it seems strained. its just a little too long to hold it snugg. Tablets are lighter today so I don't think anyone should have an issue if using a current day tablet. I liked that it also came with a solid clamp to try various angles from the headboard or a side table. Luckily I had a shelf directly behind my head with a latched door I could access to install the bolt. It's not perfect but I believe it will last me a long time and will be adaptable to any new tablet I buy in the future.

Great
The arm is great. The iPad holder in landscape mode is bit crappy. In portrait mode it is great.

Great tablet arm, though some concerns oniPad mini
I bought this stand along with an Ergotron desk and an Ergotron monitor arm. It is a well built, very sturdy product, and I generally like it. The only problem that I would say it has is that it isn't well suited for an iPad mini. Yes, you can adjust the holder to fit the mini, but if you adjust it down that small, only two out of the four screws can be put in the arm. Given the light weight of the iPad mini, this isn't a problem, but it does appear to be a design flaw. The other problem I had was that the sticky rubber piece that keeps the iPad in place fell off after only a few uses.Overall, I still like it though and plan on keeping it. It allows me to use my iPad as a video conferencing device and I can keep the camera at face level, etc.

Not suitable for its intended purpose.
This is a very robust and substantial piece of equipment, which it should be in order to support a heavy monitor. It is however completely unsuitable as a device for holding an iPad. It is too heavy, unwieldy and difficult to adjust. The iPad application is an after thought accommodated by the inclusion of a bracket that attaches where a monitor would go. I am sure this is a fine product for a regular monitor, but in my opinion is unsuitable for use with an iPad. I needed something lighter, more easily adjusted and with a lower profile at the mounting point (desk).Sending it back.

Bit too much...
I'll start by saying I love Ergotron products. They are very high quality. This one is just kind of a bit overkill and a bit bulky to hold a small tablet. It could probably hold a full size monitor it's that sturdy. The clamp is also too small to hold either my Surface device or Samsung S7 FE. I can kind of squeeze them into the bracket, but they're not very secure. Seems to be aimed for smaller tablets, which makes it even more overly engineered and bulky to hold a tiny little tablet.

Perfect for an iPad or iPad mini, easy to adjust, different mounting options
The "reviewcritic" either has no idea what they're talking about, or purchased the wrong product. The Neo-Flex with tablet cradle works perfectly with my iPad 4th generation. It opens wide enough to hold the iPad in an otterbox defender, and closes small enough to hold my iPad mini in its otterbox defender. It's simple to adjust, if you read the instructions on how to easily adjust. Just adjust a screw to change the tightness of the pivoting arms. Anybody who has trouble doing this is either ignoring directions or not reading in the first place.I used the "screw-through" mounting option, where you literally just drill a 1/8" hole through your desk. You put the supplied pin through it and screw securely to the other side. The finished application makes it look like the thing is magically standing on your desk. Everybody is impressed when they see the installation. See my installation photos on the product page.

Arm is of good quality, not so much with the holder
The holder has very fragile arms on the bottom. The arm tends to loosen when it is turned so I find myself tightening the bolts frequently. The tiny rubber pad within the spring loaded holder at the top came off. I superglued it back in place to fix the problem. I have this bolted thru an end table next to my reading chair to hold an iPad3 in place. Be careful placing the iPad in and out as these fragile arms will probably break easily.

right screwing tend to be loosened easily from some point of strength
left, right screwing tend to be loosened easily from some point of strength. I don't know the current price, but my payment was a little high. Overall I like Ergotron products, and this particular product itself is fine, but considering side things I'm giving it 3 stars.
